Linda Sarsour on Muslim Assimilation

Islam stands dramatically opposed to the liberal agenda. You won’t find a #MeToo movement or homosexual “marriage” in Saudi Arabia or Iran. Yet progressives push to import as many Muslims as possible. Are they delusional enough to think Muslims will assimilate and adopt a liberal point of view? Not at all. Leftists and Islamists have formed a temporary alliance of convenience because they share a common enemy: regular Americans. Only the most clueless fools regard large scale Muslim assimilation as feasible.

The personification of the moonbat–Muslim alliance is Linda Sarsour, an Islamist who has come to prominence as a left-wing activist. She played a prominent role in organizing the 2017 pussy-hatted Women’s March spectacle. A story from later that year reveals her view of assimilation.

Holding forth before the Islamic Society of North America convention in Chicago in July, she barked:

“I hope that we when we stand up to those who oppress our communities that Allah accepts from us that as a form of jihad.”

Anyone who follows the news or remembers 9/11 knows what jihad means. By “those who oppress out communities,” she means the US government, as she makes explicit:

“We are struggling against tyrants and rulers not only abroad in the Middle East or in the other side of the world, but here in these United States of America where you have fascists and white supremacists and Islamophobes reigning in the White House.”

On the topic of assimilation,

“Our number one and top priority is to protect and defend our community, it is not to assimilate and to please any other people and authority. … Our top priority and even higher than all those priorities is to please Allah and only Allah.”

As is well known, the surest way to please Allah is to wage war against those who don’t believe that Muhammad was his prophet.

Jihad is the first duty of a Muslim. That is why Muslims and non-Muslims have never been able to coexist peacefully on a large scale.
