Gowdy Wants to Talk to Trump About Attorney General Job

President Trump recently stated that he was considering Pam Bondi for a spot in his administration, including Attorney General.

While many Floridians would like to see Bondi replace former Attorney General Jeff Sessions, a huge undercurrent of support for Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) has been growing for months.

Gowdy’s handling of the Benghazi investigation and his hard stance against the FBI and the current witch-hunt known as the “Russia collusion” probe, has fueled this base of support for his potential chances of being the next Attorney General of the United States.

But with millions of Americans wanting Trump to pick Gowdy to replace Sessions, does Gowdy even want the job?.

Appearing on Fox News, Gowdy didn’t sound like he wanted the job.

Gowdy, who said he didn’t think the job was for him and that he has never met the president, also said that he “would love for that to change,” but fell short of saying that he is interested in the job.

The outgoing member of Congress from South Carolina did say that he would like to help President Trump by discussing the “qualities needed” for the next AG.
