Buildings Collapse in Rotting Cuba

Economic freedom is life. It builds and grows. Socialism is death. It locks everything in place so that the pie can be divvied up. No one bakes new pies, because there is no incentive, nor is there opportunity with Big Government suffocating initiative. What was built before socialism was imposed gradually crumbles away, until there is nothing left but poverty and misery. Cuba is a case in point:

In Havana, some of the same architectural gems that draw tens of thousands of American tourists crash to the ground every year. Causes range from weather and neglect to faulty renovations and theft of structural beams.

Cubans live in these collapsing buildings as they decay.

Some 3,856 partial or total building collapses were reported in Havana from 2000 to 2013, not including 2010 and 2011 when no records were kept.

The collapses worsened an already severe housing shortage. Havana alone had a deficit of 206,000 homes in 2016, official figures show.

But even if there is a housing shortage, at least housing is probably considered a human right in Cuba. It certainly is among those who want to make the USA into Cuba North.

Cuba was a developed country prior to socialism. Soon people may say the same thing about the USA. Thanks to relentless brainwashing by the liberal-controlled establishment, a majority of millennials approve of the form of slavery that destroyed Cuba.
