Two female tourists found BEHEADED in Morocco

Helle Jespersen, her mother, said she urged her daughter not to go on the trip because of “the chaotic situation” in Morocco.
“We advised her to go down because it’s such a chaotic place, and you’ve heard of people who have been killed down there,” she told BT, a Danish newspaper.
Her mother said that Danish police had come to her home on Monday and told her that her daughter’s “throat had been cut”.
“I broke down,” the mother said. “She was always happy and positive. All people could with her and she brought out the best in everyone.” (The Telegraph)

This is the first picture of one of two Scandinavian female tourists found dead in the Moroccan Atlas Mountains with serious injuries to their necks.
Louisa Vesterager Jespersen, from Denmark, and a Norwegian woman were found dead on Monday.
At least one report claimed they had allegedly been decapitated, Sky News reports – but exact details are unclear.The interior ministry said in a statement that the women’s bodies had been found with “signs of violence on their necks” that had been “caused by a cutting device”.
They were discovered in an isolated area on the way to North Africa’s highest peak of Toubkal, the ministry said in a statement.
An investigation has been opened to determine the circumstances of the ‘criminal incident,’ the statement said.
Louisa’s mum Helle Jespersen told BT the family is completely ‘broken’.
She said: “She was always happy and positive,” adding that her daughter saw the best in everyone.
The mum said she hopes investigators find the ‘culprit’, but admitted she is not hopeful.
Helle spoke of the moment she was told about her daughter’s death by police who turned up at her door.
“When I went out and saw that there were two officers, I knew what had happened. I broke down,” she said.
A post dated November 21 on Louisa’s Facebook page reads: “Dear friends, im going to Morocco in december. Any of you guys whos around by then or any mountain friends who knows something about Mount Toubkal? (sic).”
One person has been arrested in connection with the incident.
A source reportedly said the women were travelling without a guide and camping ‘somewhere near the Club Alpin Francais refuge at the base of Mount Toubkal.’
The second woman is yet to be named.
Toubkal is a popular trekking and hiking destination 82 km (50 miles) south of Morocco’s largest tourist hub, Marrakech.
