Profiles in Moonbattery: Amy Biehl

An ideologically inflicted obliviousness to the danger of Islam made possible the recent horrific deaths of Louisa Vesterager Jespersen and Maren Ueland, two Scandinavian girls who went camping in Morocco. This has called to mind other young women who died as martyrs to moonbattery. A classic example is Amy Biehl.

Wikipedia summarizes her historical significance:

Amy Elizabeth Biehl (April 26, 1967 – August 25, 1993) was a white American graduate of Stanford University and an Anti-Apartheid activist in South Africa who was murdered by black Cape Town residents while a black mob shouted anti-white slurs. The four men convicted of her murder were released by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.

Lots of people have been murdered for being white in South Africa. Since the end of Apartheid, killing white farmers with maximum brutality has become the national pastime. What made Biehl’s tragic demise so ironic is her devotion to sacrificing other whites to the mob that killed her.

The New York Times reported the next day:

Miss Biehl had been doing research at the mainly black University of the Western Cape for 10 months. An African National Congress official, Dullah Omar, called her “absolutely dedicated and committed to the cause of the oppressed and the democratization process in the country.”

That is, she was committed to transferring power to blacks in the name of political correctness. Helen Keller could have seen what would follow.

The police said she was driving a car with three passengers when youths lining both sides of the main street stoned the vehicle.

Luckily for the passengers, apparently all of them were black.

[T]he youths stopped the vehicle, grabbed Miss Biehl, pulled her out and hit her in the face with half a brick.

Then they stabbed and beat her.

Miss Biehl was closely involved with developing voter education programs here prior to the country’s first multiracial election scheduled for April 27.

Biehl herself received an education that she would not live to apply. She died on the spot. At least she received a posthumous pat on the head from Nelson Mandela himself.

The attackers explicitly stated that they killed her for being white. They were believed to be supporters or members of the Pan Africanist Congress. Biehl helped turn South Africa over to a similar mob, with results that continue to unfold.
