Yellow Vests Appear in California as Gavin Newsom Sworn In

It isn’t some sick joke; it’s real. Muculent former San Franfreakshow Mayor Gavin Newsom has been sworn in as the Governor of California. He will of course govern from the globalist ultraleft:

California’s new governor is promising the most populous state will be a “sanctuary to all who seek it”…

He says children should not be “ripped away from their parents” at the border, and they also shouldn’t be left hungry while Trump pledges to spend billions of dollars on “a wall that should never be built.”

That is, he will double down on the open borders and welfare policies that have demographically transformed California from the state that elected Ronald Reagan into the state that elected himself.

Chillingly, Newsom threatened that California will “write America’s future.”

But even in California, there is pushback. On Monday, the same day that Newsom was sworn in…

Six famous sculptures by Auguste Rodin in Stanford University’s Memorial Court were adorned in yellow vests, at the same time that Newsom was making his inauguration speech in the state capitol. The statues are symbols of civic virtue.

Californians started seeing yellow vests in December, when activists of the New California state movement began wearing the vests “in solidarity with French citizens” against socialism and globalism.

The statues are collectively called the Burghers of Calais. Calais is a city in France that was swamped with Third World welfare colonists, thanks to globalist open borders policies of the type advanced by Newsom.

France’s Yellow Vest protests oppose these policies, as well as extravagantly expensive environmentalist radicalism of the sort that Newsom also champions. The protests have now escalated to the point of physically attacking a government ministry, forcing government minister and close Macron ally Benjamin Griveaux to be evacuated.

If France can get fed up with moonbattery, so can California. Already the New California movement hopes to split off rural areas into a new state that would be out from under the thumb of the leftists who dominate the densely populated areas.
