Outlook

Dry high pressure will continue seasonal weather today. A weak cold front will cross the area tonight…before a stronger and wetter system affects the region over the weekend. Very cold high pressure will build across the southeast early next week.

Weather Hazards

NWS Hazardous Weather Outlook

A strong cold front is expected to push through the region on Sunday with strong and gusty northwest winds supporting rapidly falling temperatures with a flash freeze and accumulating northwest flow snow showers possible. The gusty winds will continue through at least Sunday night with downed trees and powerlines possible. This will likely be the coldest airmass of the season with low temperatures in the single digits and teens Sunday night into Monday morning. These temperatures along with gusty winds could support dangerously cold wind chills in the single digits to below zero.

Today

Rain, mainly after 3pm. Highs near 45. Winds out of the south 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Tonight

Rain, mainly before 11pm. Patchy fog between 8pm and 2am. Lows around 40. Winds around 5 mph out of the west before midnight, then becoming light and variable after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Partly sunny, with a high near 55. Winds around 5 mph out of the northwest becoming calm by midmorning.
