Virginia Bill Would Allow Postpartum Abortion

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

As the leftists dominating New York celebrated the passage of an abortion bill so radical that it opens the door to straightforward infanticide, other states run by Democrats quickly followed suit. A bill proposed in Virginia would allow “physicians and the mother” to decide whether a baby gets to live or die — after he or she has already been delivered. That is, it would legalize postpartum abortion. So says Governor Ralph Northam:

“If a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen. The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother,” Northam said, alluding to the physician and mother discussing whether the born infant should live or die.

That is thoughtful of them to keep the baby comfortable while they decide between thumbs up and thumbs down.

Delegate Kathy Tran admits that the bill would also allow for an abortion immediately before delivery if the mother has last-second thoughts regarding whether having a baby at the moment would be convenient, or it would affect her “mental health” by making her feel stressed or blue.

Look at the bright side. At least this slippery slope could spare us from having to provide medical care to an aging population.

Even some liberals admit that Medicare for All would bankrupt the nation. But not if we “abort” those who require the most care. Once we have crossed the Rubicon by approving state-sanctioned murder of the innocent, all sorts of solutions become possible.

Let’s hope that when progressives move on to executing the elderly, they do it more humanely than some of the horrific procedures used to kill unborn children.
