Grand Canyon University Bans Ben Shapiro

Grand Canyon University in Phoenix is America’s largest Christian school. I have enjoyed visiting the campus to see famous conservatives speak. But I won’t see Ben Shapiro there. The educrats have banned him. The stated reasons:

1. Allowing Shapiro on GCU’s campus would not be good for the school long-term.
2. Shapiro’s approach instigates a divisive atmosphere.
3. GCU wants to maintain its culture of unity, love, respect and having all student voices on campus heard.

Ben Shapiro is a mainstream conservative, who does not violate the rules of political correctness even by suggestion and is not inflammatory. Despite lies to the contrary, he in no way represents the demonized Alt Right, which hates him for various reasons.

The liberal establishment hates him too, because he applies his incisive mind to laying waste to their empty slogans and talking points. His point by point demolition of pro-abortion arguments at the March for Life rally on January 18 was devastating.

What Shapiro has to offer is a logical defense of traditionalism that is highly intelligent without being esoteric or inaccessible.

How would hearing from an eloquent advocate of Judeo-Christian values not be good for Grand Canyon University? How would rejecting Shapiro’s reason-based approach make the atmosphere less divisive? How would suppressing the speech of a Millennial popular among young conservatives help to maintain a culture of “having all student voices heard”?

The answer to all of these questions is that the educrats running GCU are cowards, who treat Shapiro as if he were radioactive because liberals threatened by the effectiveness of his arguments demand it.
