Jussie Smollett Hate Hoax Staggers Toward Collapse

It’s an IQ thing. The sort of people who perpetrate hate hoaxes are not very bright. A hate hoax is a publicity stunt. The better it works, the more publicity. The more publicity, the more effort the police put into it, the more likely it is that the hoaxer will be exposed. But a guy like Jussie Smollett isn’t going to think it through that far.

Yesterday, a local ABC channel reported that the Chicago Police Department are investigating two Nigerian persons of interest for helping Smollett stage the incident. The two men were placed near the alleged attack; one of them has appeared as an extra on Smollett’s TV show Empire.

The CPD says that the supposed racist/homophobic attack being a hoax is “unconfirmed by case detectives” and even denounces the ABC7 report:

“[W]e have no evidence to support their reporting and their supposed CPD sources are uninformed and inaccurate.”

Chicago is a homogeneously left-wing town. The mayor is Rahm Emanuel, a hardcore moonbat, as gay as Smollett, and known for bullying. No doubt the CPD is under some political pressure. However, the truth will out.

It would be better for Smollett to stop blubbering on Good Morning America and just get it over with by confessing. The slow drip of revelations followed by flimsy denials will just drag this out until it has left an indelible impression.

A Bing News search currently returns story after story denying that the attack was a hoax. This means that in the public mind, it has already been established as a hoax. People are just tuning in to see if there is definitive proof yet.

There may never be, as it can be very difficult to prove that something didn’t happen, as Christine Blasey Ford knows. However, at this point the likelihood of Smollett’s story being on the level is so remote (see here, here, here, and here) that he has been provisionally added to the Hate Hoax List.

While the epidemic of serious crime rages on in Chicago, the CPD has had at least 12 detectives at a time on this absurd case. If there is any justice, Smollett’s career will not benefit from his poorly executed stunt.
