Pay it Forward

Dear Marriage Supporter,

Today is #GivingTuesday, a day when we as Americans pause amidst the rush of sales on Black Friday and Cyber Monday to consider whether simply buying more stuff or getting good deals on Christmas gifts is the investment we need to make.

Today I invite you to think about the best gifts your parents and grandparents and all of their generations gave you. Was it a particular toy or gadget? Or was it something of greater worth that doesn’t have a price: a real “value” — such as faith, or family, or commitments in conscience to doing the right thing and speaking the truth in and out of season?

On this #GivingTuesday, I ask you to kindly consider paying that gift forward. Make an investment today in future generations, and help ensure that religious freedom and the value of true marriage can be celebrated by our own kids and grandkids. What better thanks can we give to those who passed on these things to us than doing our best to ensure they’re still around to be passed down a few generations hence?
