We’ve got just four days to close our funding gap

Dear Marriage Supporter — I hope that you are able to take a little time off between Christmas and New Year’s to enjoy some R&R with your family. I’m trying to do some of that myself, but I’ve got to also pay attention to the situation with NOM’s finances. You see, we have a significant funding gap with only four days to fill it.

You’ve been one of our best supporters this year and I am very grateful for what you’ve been able to do. But I have to ask you to step up one last time to help us before time runs out.

You see, these next four days provide the best opportunity for us to hit our budget because we’ve been blessed by some generous donors who have who have come together to offer a $250,000 year-end matching gift. If you can contribute $20, we will receive $40 thanks to the match. A $25 donation will mean we get $50. Whatever amount you can donate will double. I hate to ask, but can you help us?

This year has been one of amazing accomplishment for the National Organization for Marriage (NOM). I know you’re familiar with our great victories in court, in the public schools, with the military and throughout the federal government with a government-wide directive on religious liberty. The appointment of Neil Gorsuch to the US Supreme Court was a game-changer, and our work to help confirm him will pay dividends for many years to come. Now we have the excitement of our major new initiative for 2018 – the First Freedom Initiative, which is garnering tremendous support across the country and among our allies. We can’t wait to get working on that in January!

We’ve had incredible successes in every area of our work – public education, legal advocacy, and federal and state policy advancement. There’s no question that the landscape is decidedly better today for traditional values than it was a year ago. I’m very proud of the role that NOM has played in that turn-around.
