Elizabeth Warren Solves Ethiopian Airlines Crash

Call off the investigation; Elizabeth Warren has revealed what caused the Ethiopian Airlines flight to mysteriously crash on Sunday, killing 157 people. Capitalism did it — in collusion with Trump:

“Serious questions have been raised about whether these planes were pressed into service without additional pilot training in order to save money,” Ms. Warren declared in an email to her presidential campaign supporters. She added: “The Boeing 737 MAX 8 is a major driver of Boeing profits. In the coming weeks and months, Congress should hold hearings on whether an administration that famously refused to stand up to Saudi Arabia to protect Boeing arms sales has once again put lives at risk for the same reason.” She thus manages to wrap an attack on capitalism around an antiwar, anti-Pentagon, anti-Trump conspiracy theory.

She accomplishes this in the context of raising cash for her presidential power bid.

If this bid is successful, expect Boeing to make major contributions to the Democrat Party. It will have to, to stave off investigations, accompanied by bad press and punitive regulations, that might otherwise drive the company out of business, regardless of whether it did anything wrong.

The rest of the free market economy will find itself on the same ill-fated flight.
