House Financial Services Committee Holds Racial Inquisition

For the CEO of a major bank, the House Financial Services Committee is a cross between a Soviet show trial and bizarre burlesque theater in which they are compelled to take part. This is not only because the committee is chaired by Maxine Waters. Rep. Al Green (D-TX) does his part to keep it surreal:

“As I look at the panel, and I’m grateful for your attendance, the–the eye would perceive that the seven of you have something in common. You appear to be white men. I may be mistaken,” Green said at a hearing of the House Financial Services Committee.

“If one among you happens to be something other than a white male, would you kindly extend a hand into the air? Kindly let the record reflect that there are no hands in the air and that the panel is made up of white men,” Green continued.

To be a white man is the worse sin possible according to Cultural Marxism, the ideology of the Democrat Party. Only white men who are Muslims or overt sexual perverts can be forgiven.

Green grilled his victims on whether their likely successors belong to non–white-male identity groups favored by his party.

Then, Green proclaimed that his ancestors were slaves and accused J.P. Morgan Chase of benefitting from slavery in the 1800s. From Chase CEO James Dimon, he extracted a confession that the bank accepted slaves as collateral back when slavery was legal in the USA, prior to the 1863 Emancipation Proclamation.

He then badgered the other CEOs about the possibility that their banks benefited from slavery back when no one living today was alive.

When his time was up, Green told the seven bankers: “I do want you to know that we believe you can do better.”

We certainly can do better than to submit to being ruled by malevolent clowns like Al Green.

The inquisition continued:

Rep. Joyce Beatty (D-Ohio) said she found the lack of diversity in banking boardrooms and corporate suites “unacceptable.”

She told the bankers to either hire someone, or give a current employee the title of “Director of the Office of Minority Inclusion in Banks.”

Remember when Democrats forced banks to make mortgage loans based on race rather than likelihood of repaying the loan under the Community Reinvestment Act? It was a major factor in the economic meltdown of 2008. That meltdown ushered Barack Obama into office, so Green, Beatty, et al would love to see a reprise.
