Weather Hazards

Hazardous weather is not expected for most of Macon County today.

Cold air will move in from the west through tonight. The cold air will change rain showers to snow showers across the highest elevations of the North Carolina mountains starting after midnight. Some light snow accumulations are possible, generally above 3500 feet. A few inches of total snowfall will be possible above 5000 feet through Saturday night.
