Domestic Relations in the Tank

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

I am concerned for the security of our great nation, not so much because of any threat from without, but because of the insidious forces working from within. ~ General Douglas MacArthur

In this article, I cover the dismal domestic relations that Barack Obama has developed within the United States. Most of the problems you will read about have been self-induced by the manner in which Obama treats the common grassroots folks, the silent majority, and the sleeping giant. He has stirred the sleeping giant to become active in tea parties and town-hall meetings. These people will drastically change the political landscape in both the 2010 and 2012 elections.

David Horowitz (2009), an American writer and activist, used to be a former supporter of Marxism as well as a former member of the New Left in the 1960s. His parents were life-long members of the Communist Party. He later renounced his “left-wing political radicalism” and became an advocate for conservatism. With this background, Horowitz (2009) possesses a unique understanding of the extremist left-wing liberals, secular progressives, radicals, Marxists, and communists that infests throughout the Obama administration.

Horowitz (2009) wrote that it is actually not just a street fight. We are in the midst of a political war in which one side is seeking to eliminate the other. The left started this political war, and in fact, waged only by the left until Obama’s recently launched attempt to steamroll the nation into a socialist future. Seven years ago, the left set out to destroy George W. Bush and did – because he didn’t fight back. How dare those Democrats who called Bush a liar and a murderer talk about decorum and profess shock that a Republican congressional representative should call out Obama on his lies about health care? Their lies about Bush got Americans and Iraqis killed! Wilson’s truth not only hurt no one, but it resulted in a positive change in the policy.  Apparently, Rep. Joe Wilson’s quote “You lie!” was correct.

Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it. ~ Adolph Hitler

Horowitz (2009) wrote further that until now, only one side has been shooting in this war. However, from the day Rush Limbaugh declared that he hoped Obama would fail in his efforts to wreck America, there has been another army in the field – a small one until 9/12, but a brave one. Someday the Democrats may want a truce in this war, and Republicans, being civilized and wishing the best for this country, will give it to them. Until then, however, we all would do well to circle the wagons and fire back when fired upon by the left.

Insulted Special Olympians

Barack Obama insulted everyone who has ever loved a Special Olympian.

John McCormick (2009), Chicago Tribune reporter, wrote that for a man known as a great communicator, President Barack Obama could put his foot in his mouth from time to time. Although often deliberate and meticulous in his speaking style, Obama can also be prone to gaffes when he is relaxed or trying to have fun. Keenly aware of the stage, the coolly confident Obama can drift into trouble during unscripted moments.

Jake Tapper (2009) reports on Michelle Malkin’s blogsite that Barack Obama pulled a Joe Biden (or a Barack Obama, for that matter) and ended up mocking the Special Olympics in a lame attempt to make fun of his weak bowling skills. However, of course, the White House says he “in no way intended to disparage the Special Olympics.” You be the judge: The first appearance by a sitting president on “The Tonight Show” may well end up being the last. President Obama, in his taping with Jay Leno on March 19, 2009, attempted to yuck it up with the funnyman, and ended up insulting the disabled.

Tapper (2009) went further to note that towards the end of his 40-minute appearance, the president talked about how he’s gotten better at bowling and has been practicing in the White House bowling alley. He bowled a 129, the president said. “That’s very good, Mr. President,” Leno said sarcastically. It’s “like the Special Olympics or something,” the president said. When asked about the remark, the White House said the president did not intend to offend. “The president made an off-hand remark making fun of his own bowling that was in no way intended to disparage the Special Olympics,” White House deputy press secretary Bill Burton said.

McCormick (2009) further stated that the timing of the gaffe is less than ideal for Obama, who was subject to media teasing in recent weeks for his extensive use of a teleprompter. Before the Leno interview had even aired, the White House apologized for the comment. As Obama flew back to Washington, D.C., on Air Force One, he called Tim Shriver, chairman of the Special Olympics, to say he was sorry. “The president believes that the Special Olympics are a triumph of the human spirit,” White House press secretary Robert Gibbs told reporters. “He understands that they deserve a lot better than … the thoughtless joke that he made last night.”

Insulted All Law Enforcement

Barack Obama insulted and offended all law enforcement personnel by siding with an apparent Harvard racist (Prof. Henry Louis Gates, Jr.) and calling the Cambridge police officers performance as “stupidly.”

CNN’s Joe Johns and Don Lemon (2009) wrote that President Obama said on Friday, July 24, 2009, that he spoke with the police officer who arrested a Harvard professor and told the officer he did not mean to malign the Cambridge Police Department when he said police acted stupidly. The president acknowledged that his words “helped to contribute to ratcheting” up the situation when he criticized the manner in which Sgt. James Crowley arrested professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. “I unfortunately gave an impression that I was maligning the Cambridge Police Department or Sgt. Crowley specifically,” Obama told reporters. “I could have calibrated those words differently, and I told this to Sgt. Crowley.”

Johns and Lemon (2009) further reported that Obama spoke about two hours after police unions in Massachusetts called on him to apologize. He did not apologize for his remark but repeated that he believed his choice of words was unfortunate. He reiterated his assertion that he believes police overreacted, but said Gates “probably overreacted as well.” Obama also spoke briefly with the arrested professor, Henry Louis Gates Jr., who is a friend of the president, the White House reported. He and Gates had a “positive discussion” about his call to Crowley on Friday afternoon, the White House said. Obama also invited Gates “to join him with Sgt. Crowley at the White House in the near future.”

Johns and Lemon (2009) further stated that, when Obama waded into the story by answering a question about it during his news conference Wednesday night (July 22, 2009), he admitted that he “may be a little biased” because Gates is a friend. “I don’t know all the facts,” he also conceded. Crowley, in the police report about the incident, said Gates refused to cooperate with him and repeatedly accusing him of racism when he went to Gates’ home following a report of a possible break-in July 16, 2009. Crowley’s report said that when he asked to speak with Gates outside, the professor at one point responded, “I’ll speak with your mama outside.” Numerous police officers, including African-Americans, have spoken up on Crowley’s behalf and portrayed him as a good and fair officer. A black police officer once chose Crowley, who is white, to teach a police academy course on ways to avoid racial profiling.

Politicized the Census

President Obama politicized the census by moving it into the White House from its Department of Commerce origins and announced ACORN [the criminal organization under massive scrutiny amid allegations of election fraud] would manage the process. Since then, Congress has de-funded ACORN, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has disowned ACORN, and ACORN will not perform the 2010 census. Thank God for James O’Keefe and Hannah Giles!

Eric Zimmerman (2009) wrote in The Hill that errors by Census Bureau employees might have hired 200 people with criminal records to conduct door-to-door canvassing. The Census Bureau typically takes fingerprints and performs background checks on workers hired to interact with the public. However, a report by the Government Accountability Office (GAO) found that bureau employees improperly fingerprinted tens of thousands of workers. The GAO feared that the name-checks performed on those employees were not sufficient without fingerprints.  Why I am not surprised about this revelation? Corruption, criminals, and incompetence are rampant throughout the Obama administration.

Zimmerman (2009) further wrote that “It is possible that more than 200 people with unclassifiable prints had disqualifying criminal records but still worked and had contact with the public during address canvassing,” said Robert Goldenkoff of the GAO in a report to a Senate subcommittee on October 7, 2009. Goldenkoff cited the “adequacy of the bureau’s training” [should be more like the inadequacy of the bureau’s training] as a reason for the improper fingerprints. He said the bureau “will refine instruction manuals and provide remediation training on proper procedures” to prevent the problem from recurring.  Since the Census Bureau now reports directly to the White House, guess where the corruption originates?

Air Force One Photo Op

The Obama administration flew Air Force One low over New York City for a photo opportunity without notifying local authorities causing widespread panic of thousands of New Yorkers.

Jimmy Orr (2009) of The Christian Science Monitor reported that as President Obama addresses the nation on April 29, 2009, it seems likely that at least one of the questions will be about the ill-advised Air Force One photo op that panicked New Yorkers on April 27, 2009. Although Arlen Specter’s announcement on April 28, 2009, has moved the national discussion forward, the photo shoot – intended to capture a patriotic image of Air Force One with the Statue of Liberty beaming in the background – isn’t going away. It’s still big news. The president’s press secretary announced on April 28, 2009, that the White House will “conduct a review into how the decision was made to conduct the flight.” The goal is “To understand why the decision was made and to ensure that it never happens again.”

Orr (2009) further stated that the public relations disaster cost taxpayers $328,835. Moreover, everyone’s pointing his or her fingers at one guy – Louis Caldera. He’s the individual – in his role as the director of the White House Military Office – who took full blame for the photo shoot in a statement emailed out by the White House press office on April 27, 2009. “Last week, I approved a mission over New York,” Caldera said. “I take responsibility for that decision. While federal authorities took the proper steps to notify state and local authorities in New York and New Jersey, it’s clear that the mission created confusion and disruption. I apologize and take responsibility for any distress that flight caused.” He may be feeling a lot of distress himself following the review. Administration officials are saying that Caldera could lose his job over it. “The president will look at that review and determine what action to take,” Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said, adding that the review could take “a couple weeks” to complete.

Michael Muskal (2009) of the Los Angeles Times reported that a White House aide joined the unemployment lines on May 8, 2009, for his role in Air Force One’s controversial photo-op flyover above New York, the Obama administration announced on Friday, May 8, 2009. (Of course, they scheduled it for a Friday afternoon.) In a statement, the White House said President Obama accepted the resignation of military office director Louis Caldera. Caldera, a former U.S. Army secretary, took responsibility for the Air Force flyover that sparked 9/11-echo panic in lower Manhattan 11 days earlier on April 27, 2009.

Muskal (2009) reported further that the political cost can’t yet be determined. Obama supporters won’t care. However, the fact is against advice from the outgoing Bush administration, Obama’s team changed Caldera’s White House job classification from a career military officer to a political appointee. Now, we’ll see which way they go with the second appointment to the office since January 20, 2009. The White House also released its review of the flight near the Statue of Liberty and one photo. Earlier, Defense Secretary Robert Gates apologized for the incident and said it had cost as much as $357,000. The fly-by used a plane as Air Force One and two other Air Force crafts shocked commuters in Manhattan and New Jersey. Furious city and state officials condemned the action. In a letter released on May 8, 2009, Gates apologized for the incident.

Muskal (2009) wrote further that Gates said the cost of a jumbo jet that is used as the president’s plane was estimated between $300,658 and $328,835. The cost of two accompanying F-16 jets was $28,177 for a maximum total of $357,012. The idea was to use the April 27, 2009, flight for publicity pictures that included the Statue of Liberty and the New York skyline. Instead, people who saw the planes clogged 911 emergency lines and thought of another terrorist attack like on September 11, 2001, when two airliners crashed into the World Trade Center, killing almost 3,000 people. The “United States of America” markings on the Air Force planes were not visible from ground level. Although the White House has promised to make them public, they have not yet released the publicity photographs. Obama has personally apologized for the incident, as have other officials, including the now-unemployed White House military aide Caldera. This fiasco demonstrates the inexperience and incompetence of the Obama administration employees.

If ever [a] time should come when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin.” ~ Samuel Adams
