Is Donald Trump the GOP’s Sonny of Action Movie ‘I, Robot’?

The movie “I, Robot” is set in the year 2035 where the world’s safety is “supposedly” enhanced by robots. In the 2004 science fiction action movie, scientists create robots and program them to follow three specific laws. It is the belief that these created beings have no free will, and therefore, cannot disobey the rules that govern them. In the film, a murder takes place and a technophobic cop named Spooner, played by Will Smith, investigates the crime which he believes has been perpetrated by a robot. This, if true, leads to a larger threat to humanity.  The action film keeps viewers on the edge of their seat much like the 2016 Presidential campaign has. The GOP created Donald Trump as a ploy, however, to their own surprise, he is more like the GOP’s Sonny of the movie, “I, Robot.”

The humanoid robots, which appeared to be the country’s savior, eventually take over Chicago and other U.S. cities resulting in the military, police, government, and public being quickly overwhelmed and detained by the robots. The very monster … click HERE to continue reading
