Derek Bartholomaus stole property, endangered Billy Meier’s life

It was recently revealed that skeptic Derek Batholomaus, who failed in his attempts to debunk the authenticity of the Billy Meier UFO contacts, had stolen and fraudulently used copyrighted material* in a deliberate and devious attempt to try to mislead people into believing he was also affiliated with the Meier case.

Bartholomaus also admitted that he posted private, unreleased film footage, claiming fair use, despite not being legally entitled to do so. Bartholomaus, who previously had to retract his claims that Meier hoaxed evidence, and the skepticism cult organization, IIG, have a history of dishonest and defamatory behavior.

Stolen Valor

As previously pointed out, for several years Bartholomaus indulged in a non-military version of stolen valor, trading on Meier’s name and the theyfly brand, time and again refusing to desist.

Deliberately Endangering Meier’s Life?

Not content to plagiarize and steal, Bartholomaus went even further. He knowingly, falsely claimed that Meier had been a “grave robber” at “the tomb of Jesus Christ in 1963”, and that Meier claimed to be the “reincarnation of Jesus Christ”.

Bartholomaus knew that Meier never made such claims and that all activity around the suspected tomb doesn’t appear to have occurred before 2016, more than 50 years after Meier was in the Middle East.

Bartholomaus also knows that, among the many previous attempts on Meier’s life, he survived being shot – at close range – by a religious fanatic. By spreading these lies and inflammatory statements Bartholomaus sneakily sought to provoke fanatics who see Meier as a blasphemer, anti-Christ, etc.

Skeptics show that they will go to any lengths to try to assassinate Meier’s character…including trying to incite those who would attempt to take his life.

Shut Down

When his ISP, PowWeb, was informed of the thievery of copyrighted intellectual property, brand names, libelous content, etc., they immediately informed Bartholomaus that he had to remove all the stolen, fraudulent and defamatory information. Nonetheless, Batholomaus arrogantly defied them and refused to do so. PowWeb, to their credit, then promptly terminated his website.

As everyone probably knows, having an ISP intercede against one of their own clients regarding offensive material is not easy. I previously succeeded in having three of Kal Korff’s websites taken down because of the virulent and defamatory material that he had posted attacking the Billy Meier case, as well as threatening Meier and me personally.

The Shameless Cult of Skepticism

Among Bartholomaus’ supporters in the cult of skepticism are James Randi, Steven Novella, Stuart Robbins, Phil Plait, and CFI-IIG, all of whose unsubstantiated attacks on Meier have been thoroughly refuted. Kevin Randle foolishly relied on Bartholomaus too, in his own desperate attempts to attack the Meier case.

In addition to making their own unsubstantiated, false and libelous claims against Meier, authors Donald Prothero and Timothy D. Callahan included some of this same, false and libelous information from Bartholomaus in their new book, published by Indiana University Press.
