ICC, Israel and Progress in Palestine

It would seem that the first step towards Palestinian statehood, if the US and Israel were actually serious in allowing for the rise of a Palestinian state, would be for the rule of international law to be established.  This would provide a framework for the implementation of law at all levels of government, and ensure there is a force that is legitimate and operates within international norms that could oppose any party seeking to destroy progressive advancement towards the recognition of basic human rights.  This legitimacy could only be obtained through the building of the necessary support structures needed to implement law enforcement operations and credible military deterrence to handle both domestic and international lawlessness.

What better way would there be to ensure continued lawlessness than to provide an environment in which constant heinous violations of international law are met with symbolic measures of resistance by a largely unarmed populous whose symbolic actions are in response to Israeli crimes the US media simply refuses to cover?  This largely symbolic resistance then ends up being branded as terror and is met with massive crushing military violence on a scale significant enough to be considered ethnic cleansing after which the US media then uses these minor transgressions as the justification for war crimes and crimes against humanity by powerful states that exercise control over the media via a powerful corporate concentration of elitist ownership that uses sophisticated psychological operations and propaganda techniques.

The US seeks to brandish the term “terrorism” to the point that it no longer has any meaning and is only used as a epithet towards those whom the US or Israel opposes.  Yet, when terrorism fits either the US’s or Israel’s purpose, they will fund terrorism to the hilt as was the case with the US providing safety and funding for the MEK for a decade inside Iraq so as to use it as a proxy against Iran.

What differentiates terrorism from military operations?  The answer is simple.  It “they” do it, it is terrorism.  If “we” do it, it is a military action.  When Israeli soldiers capture hundreds of Palestinian civilians and activists and torture them while jailing many for decades, these actions are simply not mentioned by the US media.  Yet, when Palestinians retaliate by capturing an armed soldier in occupied territory, the media suddenly calls this “kidnapping”.

After the capture of the last two Israeli solders as retaliation for the imprisoning of hundreds of Palestinians and the assassination of Palestinian political figures, the Israelis then engaged in civilian massacres now referred to by Israeli political leadership as ‘lawn mowing’.  This slaughter of Palestinian women and children is hidden by the US media, as is their fascist group-speak they use to denigrate the value of the lives of Palestinian women and children who are victims of Israeli mass slaughter.

The US has failed miserably in bringing peace and has been unable to serve as a reliable, fair or even credible third-party.  As such, it has been unable to bring any fairness or accountability whatsoever to adjudicate even the most outrageous atrocities.  While the US has promised to work towards a resolution to the conflict, all that has happened is one atrocity after another with Israel only making temporary insignificant concessions in exchange for more military hardware and more military aid.

The Israelis back off from building 20,000 housing units to only building 16,000 units after bulldozing more homes and stealing only half the land they had initial planned and for this the US expects Palestinian gratitude?  This scenario plays out repeatedly and the US media calls it Israeli progress towards peace as round after round of talks sees more home demolitions, land seizures, invasions, imprisonment and torture.  As soon as a single Palestinian retaliates the US media goes into full propaganda mode and starts doing human interest stories about the one or two soldiers who were killed instead of the thousands of civilians who were maimed, killed, or displaced through ethnic cleansing.

In fact, can the US, or anyone for that matter, honestly say the US has made any progress in the last 47 years of bringing peace to Israeli-occupied Palestinian territory?  If so, please tell me where.  US intervention has ensured that Israel has had absolutely no inducement to negotiate in good faith as IAPAC has co-opted the American political process and just about runs the US Senate with Jewish Zionist politicians holding many key leadership positions involving banking, intelligence, security, foreign policy and military policy.  It is a fact that AIPAC can get any senate resolution passed regardless of how skewed it is or how outrageously it flies in the face of fact and logic.  At the current rate of US progress there will be no land or Palestinians left over which to conduct negotiations.

The fact is that if the media were not so controlled the American people would never stand for what Israel is doing, and has done, to the Palestinian people.  But one thing Israel can rest assured on is the obsequious coverage by a media that never explains the truth until eventually the truth about what eventually becomes a war involving American soldiers who finally end up reporting the truth themselves, but much too little and much too late.  As we were lied into Iraq, the US can just as easily be lied into a war with Iran, Syria or Russia using the exact same methods as not only don’t Americans ever learn, but rarely do they even bother to pay attention.

This refusal of Israel to make stop its outrageous behavior and their control over the US political process has cost Americans trillions of dollars in wars, weapons and foreign aid.  How much longer will Americans be called on to suffer and sacrifice so that US politicians can continue to purposely fail thereby providing cover for what is clearly a fascist and apartheid nationalist government?  The cost to Palestinians for US failure has been tens of thousands of lives ended and millions more lives wasted in what has turned into little more than a concentration camp as Zionists inch closer to their “Final Solution”.

Now Israel and the US want to terrorize the Palestinians into surrendering any last claim to even a right to exist and any protection under the rule of law after already having demands for justice to go unheard.  Israel seeks to terrorize the Palestinian people into accepting terror inflicted at whim by Israeli Zionists.

Why is it that the US simply refuses to do what is right?  How is it the US can act as if it has a right to allow the world to continue to be mired in this conflict?  The US argues that we need a “New World Order” based on laws and justice while it refuses to provide either to the Palestinians.

In what situation would the establishment of justice not be a good thing?  An old saying states, “Justice delayed is justice denied.”  The government, within a construct that ensures fairness, is supposed to provide swift justice.  The government exists solely for the purpose of ensuring justice and people surrender rights in order to allow government the power it needs to provide that justice.  It is only in a situation where one seeks to maintain a criminal enterprise that a party seeks to delay justice.  When a criminal threatens an individual for seeking justice, the government considers this a very serious offense due to the fact that allowing such a situation to exist would tend to destroy the rule of law itself.

So, why not begin with ending what everyone knows is an affront to justice?  How is it that the US government can seek to ensure injustice is codified?  How much longer will the US allow such a situation to exist while thinking it can maintain any shred of credibility?  It is clear that those who thirst for justice desire it the greatest.  How much longer can continued US failure continue to be an option for the Palestinian people?

The Israelis desired justice for German atrocities after WWII to such an extent that their kidnapping of Nazi leaders for the purpose of forcing them to stand trial for war crimes and crimes against humanity was the stuff of legend and Hollywood movies.  Yet, the US claims to right to invade the Netherlands to prevent Americans from standing trial under the auspices of the International Criminal Court and Israelis seek to avoid justice merely by the fact that they can keep Palestinians locked inside an open-air de facto concentration camp.  Americans are tired of injustice and have become more open to any other type of arrangement that can show it will begin to force progress.  Continuing to do the same thing over and over while expecting a different result is the definition of insanity.  Maybe holding people accountable can create progress.  As crazy at that may sound, at this point the US should start trying something that it has never tried before and then see if things change.  Could a new course of action cause the US to fail any worse than it has already?
