Shocker: Marco Rubio Comes Out As Practical In Climate Change Debate

When asked about a new climate change study that claims large portions of Florida’s coastal communities will see major flooding by the year 2100, Sen. Marco Rubio splashed some common sense on the alarmist fire.

Rubio told CNN’s Jake Tapper when asked about predicted sea level rise, “No matter what we do, no matter what we do with laws, if tomorrow we stopped all — let’s say we went to all solar panels and did all that stuff, which is not realistic — this trend would still continue.”

He also told Tapper that Florida and federal officials have been dealing with the questions about what to do about sea level changes and that it’s not a simple answer.

“Strategies to mitigate against those factors that are going to be in place no matter what happens with our energy policy,” he said, “but I’m also not going to destroy our economy. There’s a reality and balance on that end of it that we need to be focused on.”

At least we know some in government are being thoughtful and deliberative when tackling complex issues and not simply looking for feel-good, showboat solutions that don’t really do anything to change the problem.
