Syria in Last 24 Hours: Syrian Army Preempts Terrorists’ Offensives from Demilitarized Zone

The Damascus Army’s artillery and missile units pounded the movements of Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front) and its allies from the demilitarized zone in Northern Hama and inflicted major losses on them.

“The artillery and missile units, deployed in Tibat al-Iman region, shelled the movement of Tahrir al-Sham and its allies in the village of Albuweizah in Nrothern Hama and managed to preempt their attack, destroying their hardware,” a battlefield source said.

Meantime, the Syrian army continued its military advances in other parts of Syria over the past 24 hours.

Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army’s operations in provinces across Syria.

Hama

The Syrian Army’s artillery and missile units pounded the movements of Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at and its allies from the demilitarized zone in Northern Hama and inflicted major losses on them, a field source reported on Friday.

The sources said that the artillery and missile units, deployed in Tibat al-Iman region, shelled the movement of Tahrir al-Sham and its allies in the village of Albuweizah in Nrothern Hama and managed to preempt their attack, destroying their hardware.

The terrorists suffered heavy casualties too.

Other artillery units pounded the movements of Kata’eb al-Izzah in the village of Ma’arkabah in the demilitarized zone in Northern Hama, preempting their offensive and inflicting major losses on them.

Raqqa

One of the notorious commanders of the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Raqqa was killed in a bomb explosion on Friday, local sources reported.

Zanarin, a high-ranking SDF commander, was killed after a bomb-laden vehicle of the militia group went off in Raqqa city, the sources said, adding that two of Zanarin’s aides were also injured in the blast.

The sources further added that Zanarin was one of the members of Raqqa’s Joint Management Board.

In the meantime, SDF security member was gunned down by unknown raiders in al-Saqiyah street in Moeilah neighborhood in Raqqa.

Homs

An intense firefight broke-out between the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and US-backed rebels in Southeastern Homs.

According to a military source in Damascus, the clashes erupted between the Syrian Arab Army and the US-backed Jeish al-Maghawir al-Thowra group just North of the Al-Tanf region, which is controlled by the US Coalition, massdar news reported.

The source said that the Syrian Arab Army killed at least three members of the US-backed rebel group, while suffering no casualties of their own.

In the past, the US Coalition would respond to these clashes by bombing the Syrian military near the Al-Tanf region; however, they have yet to launch any airstrikes as of yet.

Aleppo

The Turkish Army and allied militants have prepared to attack a sum of 150 military points of the Kurdish militias in Northern Syria, militant-affiliated sources reported on Friday, adding that the operation might split over Northern Iraq.

The sources quoted Yusef Hamoud, a spokesman for the Turkey-backed National Army, as disclosing that Ankara forces are preparing to launch operation against the Kurds in Aleppo’s Manbij, Raqqa’s Tal Abyadh and Hasaka’s Ra’as al-Ein.

The sources further said that the Turkish troops and army aircraft will also participate in the operation, adding that the anti-Kurds operation on the Eastern bank of the Euphrates River includes several phases using different weapons.
