Farsnews US Army’s Long Convoy Arrives in Kurdish-Held Regions in Northeastern Syria amid Turkish Military Threats

A new convoy of troops and equipment of the US-led coalition has arrived in regions controlled by the Washington-backed militias in Northeastern Syria amid Turkish troops’ threats to kick off a major assault in the region, the London-based pro-opposition Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported on Wednesday.

SOHR reported that a long convoy of the US military vehicles has arrived in regions controlled by the US-backed militia on the Eastern bank of the Euphraes River.

It further said that the convoy included a sum of 150 trucks, carrying fuel, vehicles, logistic and military equipment, adding that the convoy has arrived in the US-run bases in Northeastern Syria.

SOHR went on to say that the move has been carried out to reinvigorate US bases amid Turkish troops’ threats against the Kurdish militias on the Eastern bank of the Euphrates River.

The SOHR said earlier this month that the US-led coalition forwarded a sum of 150 vehicles carrying military-logistic equipment to the SDF-held regions on the Eastern bank of the Euphrates River via Simalka passageway at Iraq-Syria border.

It further said that the convoy has been sent to the coalition bases in Raqqa, Aleppo, Hasaka and Deir Ezzur provinces, adding that more convoys will be sent to the US bases in Syria in coming days.
