DEATH BLOW: Democratic National Committee Withdraws Its Support from the Women’s March

TIIIMBERRRR!

The Women’s March just took another giant slash of the ax — perhaps the biggest one possible.

According to the Jewish News Syndicate, the Democratic National Committee has cut ties with left-wing rally.

While the March has yet to confirm the separation, its site no longer lists the DNC as a sponsor.

This news comes just after the heavily liberal Southern Poverty Law Center pulled its support, which I covered here.

The March has been steadily falling, thanks in part to abounding anti-Semitic allegations (here, here, here, here, and here), from which — for some reason — they haven’t been willing to effectively free themselves.

And why not? Virtually every Democratic organization has surely been at the ready to give the March another chance; why not just say, “We don’t support Louis Farrakhan or the Nation of Islam; we were wrong to’ve had the Nation provide security for us; it’s come to our attention that Louis is an anti-Semite. So we’ve changed our position toward him and his group.”

Or “Sharia law oppresses women; we denounce it and (March leader) Linda Sarsour’s endorsement of it (here).”

Or maybe “We love all people, including Jewish people (unless they’re conservative). In fact, we’re going to feature Jewish speakers at our rally this year.”

Or how about even “HEY — LOOK OVER THERE!!!!”

The claims against them have multiplied, much more robustly than their efforts to dispel them.

And thus, they’re a tall tree, destined for the ground.

As reported by JNS:

DNC Deputy Communications Director Sabrina Singh told JNS that although it will not participate in the march, “The DNC stands in solidarity with all those fighting for women’s rights and holding the Trump administration and Republican lawmakers across the country accountable. Women are on the front lines of fighting back against this administration and are the core of our Democratic Party.”

In recent weeks, a number of progressive groups that have withdrawn their support of the march, which was launched in 2017 in protest of the election of President Donald Trump, including, but are not limited to, the National Council of Jewish Women, the Southern Poverty Law Center, the American Federation of Labor-Congress of Industrial Organizations, the Human Rights Campaign, Greenpeace, Children’s Firearm Safety Alliance, Coalition Against Gun Violence and Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense.

That’s a lot.

So give ’em some room, folks — they’re comin’ down.

And what kind of tree is it? I’m not sure, but it seems to bear nuts.
