The Damascus Army fended off new offensives by Tahrir al-Sham al-Hay’at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front) and other allied terrorists in the demilitarized zone in Northern Hama and Southern Idlib, inflicting heavy damage and tolls on them.

The Syrian Army’ units targeted a group of Islamic Turkistani Party terrorists who intended to penetrate to the government forces’ military positions in Northwestern Hama from the surrounding areas of al-Haviz and al-Havija towns near Sahl al-Ghab region, killing a large number of terrorists and destroying their military equipment as well as forcing the remaining militants to retreat.

The Syrian Army troops also pounded and destroyed the military positions of Tahrir al-Sham terrorists near the town of Khan Sheikhoun in Southern Idlib.

Meantime, the Syrian army continued its military advances in other parts of Syria over the past 24 hours.

Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army’s operations in provinces across Syria.

Hama-Idlib

A large number of terrorists were forced to flee the scene after their comrades were killed and wounded in the Syrian Army attacks.

The Syrian Army troops also pounded and destroyed the military positions of Tahrir al-Sham terrorists near the town of Khan Sheikhoun in Southern Idlib.

Other Syrian Army units also targeted and pounded the terrorists’ military positions in areas near the town of al-Sakik in Southeastern Idlib, inflicting heavy losses on them.

Raqqa

The US Army is planning to establish a new military base in the city of Raqqa despite President Donald Trump’s decision to pull out his troops from Syria, media reports said.

Several heavy engineering vehicles are busy building cement walls in the surrounding areas of al-Ershadieh building in front of al-Halisat Mosque in al-Mashlab district in the Center of Raqqa, Arabic-language Baladi News Website close to the militant groups reported.

It pointed to a large number of military troops stationed in the region and flight of the US choppers over Raqqa, and said that al-Ershadiyeh building will house the headquarters of the US troops.

Construction of the US headquarters in regions under the control of the SDF is taking place as the US is claiming that it is going to pull out its troops from Syria.

Eastern Euphrates

The US-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are going to declare end of the ISIL in Eastern Euphrates after the latter retreated from areas under its control in the region, media sources said.

“After ISIL’s foreign terrorists left the Eastern Euphrates and tens of them surrendered, the SDF took control of the al-Khanafera and Sheikh Mohammad regions in Baghouz town in Eastern part of Deir Ezzur,” sources in Eastern Euphrates said.

They reiterated that the ISIL is only in control of several houses and a camp South of the Baghouz town in an area covering less than 1 square kilometers.

The London-based Syrian Observatory of Human Rights (SOHR), meantime, announced that the US troops and the SDF will soon declare the end of ISIL’s presence in Eastern Euphrates as tens of non-Syrian and Western terrorists of the ISIL have retreated from that region.
