In an ever familiar leftist strategy, rather than open up a discussion on abortion and debate the issue on its merits, the left is doing what it does best:  censoring.  Censorship used to be a dirty word to liberals/democrats, but not anymore.  Leftists would rather shut speech down than ever permit a differing view on a particular subject.

Let’s take the new movie Unplanned produced by Pureflix and based on a true story by Abby Johnson.  In typical leftist fashion, the Motion Pictures Association of America has given it an R rating. 

The reason?  They cite several graphic scenes dealing with abortion.  Duh!  The film is about abortion.  I just watched the movie Sunday with my husband. 

After watching one disturbing scene in which you can see, on a sonogram, a baby being sucked out of its mother’s womb, my husband turned to me and said, “You can see more graphic things than this on the opening sequence of a CSI episode.”  Agreed.  There is some blood in the movie, but nothing one would view as gruesome as a slasher film. 

Plain and simple, the MPAA gave the movie an R rating for two reasons.  1) They knew that many Christians do not view R rated films.  2) In their own words, they would not change the rating to PG-13 “unless those disturbing scenes were removed.”  I’ve written about abortion before and have produced a podcast about the topic, so I will reiterate what I’ve said before. 

The reason so many people are supporters of abortion is because they do not know the graphic details regarding what happens to the developing human with a heartbeat who can feel pain when an abortion is performed.

  The more people learn about the procedure and the more science allows us to understand the development of a human inutero, the less likely people will choose to abort their babies.

It’s also fascinating, although predictable, to note that the major television stations (NBC, CBS, and ABC) disallowed advertising for this movie.  Unfortunately, so did the Hallmark Channel, Lifetime, HGTV, and nearly all other cable networks.  They virtually blocked trailers from their channels.  Let’s give it up for FoxNews which did run the ad for Unplanned, and I saw some advertising on the movie while reading articles on RealClearPolitics.

Now, here are some reasons the left, which controls major media in the United States, refused to air the trailer or the ads.  In the movie, the viewer gets an inside look at the workings of a Planned Parenthood clinic. 

The director of the clinic, before Abby becomes the director, makes clear that even though Planned Parenthood is deemed a non-profit organization, that’s just for tax purposes.  She stresses that it is a business with a business model and that means increasing the number of abortions to increase the bottom line.  She also informs Abby (the main character) that there is big money behind Planned Parenthood. 

Some of the names she throws out are:  Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, and George Soros.  Surprised?  I wasn’t.  They’re lefties and like good little lefties they support this evil organization.

In one particularly disturbing scene, a young teen has an abortion and is left sitting in a recovery room where no one notices she is bleeding.  She is eventually rushed back in to one of the examination rooms for the doctor to try to fix her ruptured uterus (which he had ruptured during the abortion). 

Abby tries to call an ambulance, but was physically held back from doing so.  You see, the director has to tell the panicked Abby that calling an ambulance would lead to unwanted publicity.  After nearly four hours, the girl is returned to her concerned father (what kind of father brings his daughter to an abortion clinic to abort his grandchild?) and told the procedure went as planned.  No mention is made of her ruptured uterus.  One is left to wonder if she will one day be unable to have children.

There is so much more I could say about this movie, but I don’t want to give it all away.  Everyone should view this movie.  The party that claims to be the party of science doesn’t want you to know how they are killing babies.  They don’t want the women who enter these clinics to view the sonograms either.  Why do you suppose that is?

  Oh, and incidentally, we also find out that the reason sonograms are used at Planned Parenthood is to determine the size of the baby’s head.  The bigger the head, the more money it will cost the woman to abort her baby.

Don’t let the leftists, Hollywood, and major media win this battle.  Go watch Unplanned and educate yourself.  This mass infanticide must end.  Let us remember what the Psalmist said:  “For you created my innermost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.  I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
