The Damascus Army’s fresh soldiers and military equipment arrived in Lattakia to capture a strategic region as other units of the army were in operation in the Northeastern part of the province.

Meantime, the Syrian army continued its military advances in other parts of Syria over past 24 hours.

Lattakia

The Syrian Army has recently dispatched a large number of its special forces together with military hardware to Kabane region in Northeastern Lattakia.

The Syrian Army plans to impose control over the Strategic Kabane region. The army’s artillery units have pounded the military positions of Tahrir al-Sham al-Hay’at (the Levant Liberation Board of the Al-Nusra Front) in Kabane region and its surrounding hilltops over the past two days, destroying several of their positions and tunnels.

Meantime, sources said that the Syrian Army’s artillery and missile units hit hard the battlefronts of Tahrir al-Sham stretched from Sahl al-Ghab to Northeastern Lattakia, inflicting heavy losses on the terrorists.

Idlib

The residents of Idlib continue demanding the Syrian Army to enter the province to push terrorists back from the province, the Arabic-language media reported.

The Arabic-language Al-Watan newspaper quoted former head of the executive office in Idlib Province Ali al-Jassem as saying that the people in Idlib have called for arrival of Syrian Army in the province and helping them get rid of terrorist groups.

Al-Jassem pointed to the serious opposition of Idlib residents to the dispatch of their sons to the battlefronts against the Syrian Army in Northern and Northwestern Hama as well as Southern Idlib, and said that a large number of civilians have also voiced their readiness to join the Syrian Army to fight against the terrorists.

He reiterated that people’s uprising against terrorists in the region has started, and said the people are strongly against the terrorist groups, vowing that as soon as the Syrian Army enters the province, the areas under terrorists’ control will collapse.

Homs

Thousands of residents of US-controlled Al-Rukban Refugee Camp in Homs province have fled to safe areas under the Syrian Army’s control, the Arabic-language media sources said.

The Arabic-language al-Watan newspaper reported that hundreds of new Syrian families have managed to escape al-Rukban in al-Tanf Region in Eastern Homs near the border with Iraq via Jaliqam crossing.

The newspaper also quoted special sources as saying that 25 percent of al-Rukban residents, amounting to 12,500 residents, most of them women and children, have managed to flee the camp.

The sources, meantime, pointed to a call by a large number of civilians to exit the camp, and said that more civilians plan escape from al-Rukban in the coming days.
