DOJ: Islamic Man Arrested for Threatening to Blow Up Trump Tower & the Israeli Embassy

On Wednesday, the Department of Justice released frightening news: an Islamic man in New Jersey was arrested for threatening to blow up Trump Tower as well as NYC’s Israeli embassy.

The man was also reportedly providing Hamas with support and threatening to shoot supporters of Israel.

But — it should be noted, according to international affairs expert Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez — in fact, Republicans are solely responsible for trying to manufacture a conflict between Muslims and Jews (here).

Back to reality, in a statement, the Justice Department said the 20-year-old was taken into custody for “attempting to provide material support to Hamas, lying on his application to enlist in the U.S. Army, and making a threat against pro-Israel supporters.”

Allegedly, the would-be terrorist emailed the military wing of the Palestinian-Arab Hamas terrorist group — the Al-Qassam Brigades — informing them he’d “reverted to Islam a few weeks ago” and would like to join.

That sounds nice. Reminds me of my joining the 4-H Club. Except for the murder part.

More from the statement:

In April 2019, [the suspect] appeared in an Instagram Live video wearing a black ski mask and stated that he was against Zionism and the neo-liberal establishment. When asked by another participant in the video if he would go to Gaza and join Hamas, [the suspect] stated “yes, If I could find a way.” Later in the video, [the suspect] displayed a Hamas flag and retrieved a handgun. He then stated “I’m gonna go to the [expletive] pro-Israel march and I’m going to shoot everybody.”

Yeah — definitely different than 4-H (“Hamas” wasn’t one of the H’s).

That DOJ’s statement also noted some of the suspect’s crazy social media posts:

“I want to shoot the pro-israel demonstrators … you can get a gun and shoot your way through or use a vehicle and ram people … all you need is a gun or vehicle to go on a rampage … I do not care if security forces come after me, they will have to put a bullet in my head to stop me.”

Thankfully, of course, Democrats have a way of stopping the guy before he could ever get out the door: making the purchase of a gun punishable by a fine or jail time. Because — as we all know — the person unafraid of being killed for their crimes will shake in their boots over an ordinance. Or, heck — even a sign. “Gun-Free Zone.” Voilá.

Also courtesy of the statement: The young man sent $100 via Moneygram to a suspected member of the Al-Qassam Brigades in December, and in February, he stated he wanted to join the U.S. Army in order to “learn how to kill … So [he] can use that knowledge.”

Additionally in February, he applied for a national security position, claiming he’d never “associated with anyone involved in activities to further terrorism.”

He was surveilled by the FBI in April outside of Trump Tower. Afterward, he posted to Instagram, “I want to bomb Trump Tower.”

Another post:

“Okay, so I went to NYC today and passed by Trump Tower and then I started laughing hysterically … shit I forgot to visit the Israeli embassy in NYC … i want to bomb this place along with trump tower.”

Each count of attempt to provide material support to a designated terrorist organization carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Each count of making false statements related to international and domestic terrorism carries a maximum penalty of eight years in prison and a $250,000 fine. The count of transmitting a threat in interstate commerce carries a penalty of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Thank goodness they caught him. But how many others are waiting? Here’s to hoping the Justice Department’s on top of it. They may have been a bit distracted by the entanglement insanity of Collusion! Collusion! Collusion! Keep us safe from the murderous revolutionaries, please. And I don’t mean Ralph Northam.
