Trump Aide Shoots Back At Pelosi, I’m Not Your Maid.

I don’t think that Kellyanne Conway is going to be on Nancy Pelosi’s CHRISTmas card list this year. There is still time to turn this around.

Yesterday at the blow up heard around Washington D.C. after Trump, Pelosi, and Schumer had a brief ” We all hate each other” meeting, word leaked out that Kellyanne and the Speaker had a minor confrontation. The epic tale of this brief meeting will live on in Washington D.C. lore.

According to The Hill…

The meeting swiftly collapsed when the president said he could not negotiate with Democrats while they were conducting oversight investigations into the administration and after Pelosi said he had “engaged in a cover-up.”

Conway turned to Pelosi and asked if she had “a direct response to the president.”

When Pelosi said that she would respond to the president, and not to his staff, Conway replied, “Really great. That’s really pro-woman of you.”

OUCH.

The whole facade of women being treated equally just went up in smoke.

Now it is somewhat fair to say that Nancy (probably) did not want to get into a verbal shooting match with someone who is just as skilled in political warfare as she is. There is absolutely no benefit to this scrum on the Speakers part. Nancy poked Trump in a comment to the press before she took the public transportation to the White House for their minute meeting. The fuse was lit and the blow-up occurred.

Of course, official Washington heard about this almost instantaneously and the hot takes ensued.

Today the Speaker had her weekly press conference and when she was asked about this tidbit she had this to say via ABC…

If you watch the video clip, you may detect that Nancy would rather talk about how San Fransisco smells like a garbage dump these days than talking about her pal Kellyanne Conway. She was not pleased that someone in the press was not following the DO NOT BRING THIS UP rule.

Once again being Kellyanne is cut from the same cloth as San Fran Nan she snapped back again with this ( also from The Hill)…

“She’s the six-most rich member of Congress, she treats everybody like they’re her staff,” Conway said on Fox News. “She treats me like I’m either her maid, or her driver, or her pilot or her makeup artist and I’m not.”

Conway added that she believes Pelosi is “not very pro-woman” and is only “pro-some women, a few women.”

Kellyanne is right here. Nancy Pelosi can not treat anyone other than Chuck Schumer, how she treats Chuck Schumer. Hopefully, those Schumer as a maid costumes makes it to the store shelves before Halloween.

Here we have two strong women going to battle ( kinda) with each other in the press and it is fascinating to watch. If HBO does not make a bid for the rights to this drama to replace Game Of Thrones I won’t know what to believe in anymore.

Kellyanne is going to get the edge here, but only slightly. Nancy is not engaging on purpose because she is trying to be “Speaker like” and Trump would probably fire Kellyanne if she didn’t go after Pelosi. That is really an easy call.

On second thought. America is the one that wins here.
