Pro-Abortion NARAL Posts Perhaps the Most Tone-Deaf Father’s Day Tweet in the History of Twitter

Imagine waking up on Father’s Day, grabbing a cup of coffee, the Sunday paper, and your cell phone to catch up on the latest news and social media goings-on before the celebration of the big day gets started.

Eyes still only halfway open from sleep, you slowly scroll down your Twitter feed and see one of two things:

An absolutely absurd tweet from NARAL Pro-Choice America wishing pro-choice dads a Happy Father’s Day, or, if you’re like me, you read Twitchy‘s mockery of the tweet (which is the much better option in this case).

Worse still, you notice NARAL’s tweet contains an image of a dad holding an infant child who is carrying a sign proclaiming she is a “battle born feminist” – the clear insinuation being that the baby is pro-choice.

This isn’t a nightmare. It actually happened:

In addition to this vile message, the group posted a “Men for Choice” Father’s Day letter on their website, which was signed by a number of pro-abortion men who hole public office. The letter reads, in part:

As a society, we cannot reward a misogynist with a vote for president. When our leaders treat women as less than equal and enact policies that perpetuate gender inequality, that hurts all of us. We need a president who will fight for reproductive freedom so our entire families can get ahead.

Planned Parenthood, in contrast, did not post a Father’s Day message on their Twitter feed or website. Thank goodness.

Their global account, however, posted a tweet on Mother’s Day that left a lot to be desired:

Today and everyday, we honor mothers around the world and the people who guide us, provide for us, love us — mother us. Happy Mother’s Day to you all. pic.twitter.com/ePRrXB2XAJ

Their U.S. Twitter account wasn’t any better (h/t: Life News HQ):

This was on top of the child-centered video posted by Dr. Leana Wen, the president of Planned Parenthood, that same day:

We can’t get lucky enough for both groups to delete their Twitter accounts, but it sure enough would be nice if they at least avoided social media on Mother’s and Father’s days.

Their tone-deafness is just staggering.
