Russian-Syrian military targeting terrorist strongholds in Lataminah, Kafr zita, and Khan Sheikhun

The Russian and Syrian air forces unleashed a heavy assault across southern Idlib on Monday, hitting several sites under the control of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham and their allies. According to a report from the nearby Hama Governorate, the Russian and Syrian air forces launched a number of airstrikes along the southern axis of Idlib, targeting the area between Khan Sheikhoun and Al-Hobeit. In addition to these airstrikes, the Syrian Air Force also targeted a number of areas in western Idlib. These strikes reportedly hit Kafr Sijnah, Kafr Nabl, Maar Zita, Maar Hurmeh, Sheikh Mustafa, and Hazarin. The jihadist rebels have responded to these airstrikes by launching several artillery shells and rockets towards the government strongholds of Mhardeh and Al-Sqaylabiyeh.

The most important military base and two arms-ammunition depots of Tahrir al-Sham al-Hay’at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front) were destroyed in massive airstrikes by the Russian and Syrian fighter jets in Western Aleppo in Northern Syria, media sources said.

“The Syrian and Russian air forces carried out several attacks on the terrorists’ military positions in Western Aleppo, specially Regiment 46 near the town of al-Zorbeh which is a big military base of Tahrir al-Sham and one of the most important training centers of the terrorist group in Western Aleppo,” the Arabic-language Al-Watan newspaper quoted a military source as saying.

Meantime, the Syrian army continued its military advances in other parts of Syria over past 24 hours.

Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army’s operations in provinces across Syria.

Aleppo

The Arabic-language Al-Watan newspaper quoted a military source as saying that the Syrian and Russian air forces carried out several attacks on the terrorists’ military positions in Western Aleppo, specially Regiment 46 near the town of al-Zorbeh which is a big military base of Tahrir al-Sham and one of the most important training centers of the terrorist group in Western Aleppo.

It noted that Tahrir al-Sham’s military base which was destroyed in the joint airstrikes contained trucks loaded with military equipment and ammunition to back up other terrorist groups in the battlefronts of Hama.

Two depots containing Grad and TOW missiles were also destroyed in the surrounding areas of al-Mohandesin 2 and all the terrorists inside them were killed.

Meantime, the Syrian Army’s air force and artillery units heavily pounded the military positions and movements of the terrorist groups in all battlefronts of Northern Hama and Southern Idlib, including Kafar Zita, al-Latamineh, Tal Malh, Khan al-Sabal, Ma’areh al-Numan and Khan Sheikhoun, killing tens of them.

The Syrian Army troops also downed several drones armed highly-explosive bombs and equipped with GPRS in areas close to the Hama military base.

Idlib

The pro-militant White Helmets Tahrir al-Sham are reportedly preparing to shoot a scene in the demilitarized zone in Idlib that would show a chemical attack by the Syrian Army, media sources said.

The Arabic-language Morasseloun news website quoted special sources in Idlib province as saying that Tahrir al-Sham is planning to launch a new chemical attack on civilians and areas controlled by the Turkish Army in Mourek and Jbal al-Zawiyeh in Northern Hama and Southern Idlib.

The sources pointed to the preparedness of the White Helmets to take films from the preplanned chemical attacks, and said most probably the cameramen of the CBS television network who have recently obtained permits for preparing videos from Tahrir al-Sham terrorist commanders in Idlib will also contribute to shooting the scene.

According to intel, Tahrir al-Sham commanders have previously paid $200 to each of the White Helmets to take films and pictures from the aftermath of the chemical attacks on children in Saraqib and Jorjnaz in Idlib.

Meantime, the Tahrir al-Sham terrorists are also planning to conduct chemical attacks after the Syrian and Russian air forces carry out airstrikes on the town of Jorjnaz in Southern Idlib.

The sources noted that the terrorists intend to victimize civilians in real chemical attacks, and said that the White Helmets are also supposed to film the chemical attack to accuse the Syrian Army for the crime later.
