If We’re Going by Her Rules, then AOC and Her “Squad” Condone the Firebombing Attacks

It’s an easy thing to say “I don’t condone resorting to violence” but apparently it’s too difficult to say for people like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. This means that she condones violence…at least according to her own rules.

On Monday, the democratic socialist sweetheart of the Democratic party decided that she would lay down ground rules for Republicans about their stances should they not condemn President Donald Trump for his “racist” tweet that said that the congresswomen who rag on America constantly should go back to their countries of origin and fix the problems there.

According to AOC, if they don’t condemn then they condone. It’s a typical tactic of the left to claim that silence is violence, and true to form, AOC invoked the tried and true method of nailing intent to inaction.

“Until Republican officials denounce yesterday’s explicitly racist statements (which should be easy!), we sadly have no choice but to assume they condone it,” tweeted AOC. “It is extremely disturbing that the *entire* GOP caucus is silent. Is this their agenda?”

It’s not a particularly good route to take in political debate, though it’s not without it’s too-high success rate. What Ocasio-Cortez is doing is, without your permission, putting you into a camp of people opposed to the goodness of not being racist.

As I wrote on Monday, Trump’s tweet had it’s issues but one thing it wasn’t was racist. You can easily glean what Trump was trying to say in the tweet, which was that the girls could go back to the countries their families came from and experience what it truly is to deal with the problems they claim America has then come back here and tell everyone what to do. It had nothing to do with race, but attitude.

Regardless, the running narrative is that the tweets were about race and that the congresswomen should be kicked out of the country, and if the GOP won’t denounce Trump’s tweets then they also agree with the racism of Trump and are racist too.

Fine. Then let’s play that game.

As Streiff covered Monday, Ocasio-Cortez was asked point blank if she condemned the recent firebomb attack on an ICE facility. She wouldn’t give an answer. As the reporter said, it’s easy to do so, but still, AOC would not say a word.

By Ocasio-Cortez’s own rules, her silence speaks to her position. She condones the firebombing attacks according to her silence.

If she does condemn the attacks, then she’s more than welcome to just say so. She should condemn the attacks, denounce Antifa, and make it clear that any violence towards others is wrong. It’s not hard.

The same could be said of Rep. Ilhan Omar who refused to condemn Al-Qaeda on multiple occasions. I guess she condones the terrorist group that carried out 9/11?

Yet, she’s not doing that. She’s remaining silent and therefore she condones terrorism.

That’s not me saying that. That’s AOC.
