Antifa ‘Martyr’s’ Manifesto Is Nonsensical Garbage That Echoes AOC’s Own Policy Ideas

Citing turn-of-the-century anarcho-communist writer Emma Goldman (herself a student of a philosophy that promoted change through violence and implicated in violent crimes with her lover Alexander Berkman), the Antifa member who tried to firebomb an ICE facility in Washington State left a manifesto behind. And it’s absurd gobbledygook. But Goldman wasn’t his only muse.

The details of his crime are as follows:

At approximately 4 a.m. on Saturday morning, just a few hours after a peaceful protest had concluded, Tacoma Police Department responded to a call of an attack at Tacoma Northwest Detention Center. The detention center houses more than 1,500 detainees who are awaiting deportment, according to the Los Angeles Times. Tacoma Police arrived to find a man throwing incendiary devices at the facility. He was also armed with a rifle. Van Spronsen had managed to ignite a vehicle and was attempting to also detonate a large propane tank. Police believe he was wanted to additionally set buildings on fire. The police responded to the man’s attacks with gunfire, killing him.

And his inspiration, if we are to believe his last ramblings, are the whiny socialists of years past but also well known players still with us today.

n a three-page document posted on Seattle TV station KIRO’s website, Willem Van Spronsen cited popular left-wing historian Howard Zinn, said that “i am antifa,” criticized the Electoral College and accused the U.S. of running “concentration camps” on the border.

Willem Van Spronsen, 69, declares early on in his manifesto that “evil says concentration camps for folks deemed lesser are necessary. the handmaid of evil says the concentration camps should be more humane,” using a term usually reserved for Nazi Germany’s death camps, but introduced in the border-security debate last month by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York.

He also mocked people criticizing Ms. Ocasio-Cortez for intellectual sloppiness, referring to “these days of highly profitable detention/concentration camps and a battle over the semantics.”

Amidst the garbage rantings of an insane person’s last words, there was once sentence that was particularly disturbing (emphasis mine):

This is my clear opportunity to try to make a difference, I’d be an ingrate to be waiting for a more obvious invitation.

Ocasio-Cortez has refused to condemn the attacker’s behavior, and hard-left progressives are praising his bravery. It’s little wonder he felt “invited” to try to destroy a facility and potentially murder people in the process.
