Department of Homeland Security says, Start Prepping!
In a new DHS report that warns that the electric grid is the “prime target” of terrorists, Americans are being urged prepare for the up to six months without electricity, transportation, fuel, money and healthcare.
“People no longer keep enough essentials within their homes, reducing their ability to sustain themselves during an extended, prolonged outage. We need to improve individual preparedness,” said a just-published report to President Trump.
“There needs to be more individual accountability for preparedness,” adds the report, “Surviving a Catastrophic Power Outage,” from the President’s National Infrastructure Advisory Council and published by the Department of Homeland Security. via Washington Examiner

DHS issued the same basic thing several years ago though (as far as I know) not as completely worded .
Best advice i can give is too either be prepared already, or if not , GET prepared. Either way your better off being prepared. Its a win win, and as such its the thing too do. I remember Janet Nepoliano s statement just before she left office , where she issued a warning too Americans that they should be ready at any moment for a possible, massive coronal ejection, which would leave us i n the dark. These days its hard too tell exactlly what could happen, heck it could be the russians getting ready too set off a nuke in our atmosphere knocking out the grid, or it could be a CME , or it could be a massive earthquake in the New Madrid fault line , or it could be all that massive amount of stored explosive gas from all the drilling platforms in the gulf , which i was told , if, exploded would be the equivalent of many nukes, which could set off the New Madrid fault line, which btw happens too be near them. But with all the advancements in technology who kn ows what man is capable of doing. For all we know man couldve invented a weapon with a powerful Lazer which could be pointed at the Sun causing a small but formidable CME facing a enemy on earth, who knows, but long story made short…………., be prepared.
