Do Not Worry About Tomorrow, You Have God by Tracey Lee-Anne

With all the things going on in the world today, it is no wonder that more and more people are suffering from anxiety. If we are not worrying about our family, or bills, it is just the little things in life that can get us anxious. Now, though; we are having to deal with the threats of something happening to our country. Everyday life, religion, politics, or even the evening news can sometimes shake a person to their core. There is an answer to all of this anxiety in our lives though, and that answer is God. 

I can not tell you how many times that I have dropped to my knees and asked for God to take away my stress and anxiety. When I was 34 years old, I suffered an TIA (minor stroke). The doctor told me that is was from all the stress and anxiety that I had in my life. I told him about all the things that were going on, 3 teenagers, one we were having a very difficult time with, bills were always piling up, and I had not been taking time with God like I should. It was as though I was making time to worry and stress and get anxious about all these things, and wasn’t focusing on what was important. A relationship with God. 

Since then, I have tried to take time out of everyday, to reflect on my day, and thank God for all my blessings. Yes, I still have to have support with my anxiety, I have dealt with this since I was a teenager, but I know that with God all things are possible. Although, I worry about my children now, because they all deal with depression and anxiety in one form or another, I tell them to pray it out, God is listening and always in control. I know that I will always be a worrier, but now; I try to let go and let God.
