Official statistics released by the Netherlands Government have revealed that non-whites in that country are 47 times more likely to be in jail than native Dutch, are 29.5 times more likely to appear in criminal courts, are 28.3 times more likely to face prosecution, and are 21.1 times more likely to be registered suspects with the police.

According to figures released by Statistics Netherlands (CBS), the Police asked that organization to examine data for the period 2010 to 2017 as to “whether persons with a non-Western migration background are over-represented at certain stages of the criminal justice chain compared to people with a Dutch background.”

The report which Statistics Netherlands produced showed exactly how often people with a “Dutch background or a non-Western migration background appear in the records of the police, the Public Prosecution Service, court and detention centers, and how these numbers relate to the total number of people with the same migration background.”

Table 1a of the report shows the absolute number of people with a Dutch background or a non-Western migration background for the 2010 to 2017 period that appear in the relevant registrations. Table 1b of the report shows relative figures per 10,000 people in the Dutch population with the relevant migration background. The absolute numbers per migration background from Table 1a are therefore corrected for the total number of people with a certain migration background in the Dutch population.

Finally, Table 1c shows how often people with a non-Western migration background appear in the registrations compared to every person with a Dutch background in the registrations. A figure is also included, which shows the average number of people over the years 2010 to 2017 per migration background and criminal justice stage.

It is in table 1c, titled “Number of people in different parts of the legal system per 10,000 residents, 2010—2017,” that the true extent of the nonwhite crime plague in the Netherlands becomes apparent.

The number of “Registered Suspects by Police per 10,000 residents” of a Dutch background is 1, versus 21.1 for nonwhites. The latter figure is made up of Moroccans (5.4); Dutch Antilles and Aruba (5.8); Surinamese (4); Turks (3.2); and “other non-westerners” (2.7).

Prosecutions started by the Office of the Public Prosecutor per 10,000 residents against those of a Dutch background are 1, versus 23.3 for nonwhites. The latter figure is made up of Moroccans (5.5); Dutch Antilles and Aruba (6.9); Surinamese (4.5); Turks (3.3); and “other non-westerners” (3.1).

Guilty sentences issued by the Criminal Courts per 10,000 residents against those of a Dutch background are 1, versus 29.5 for nonwhites. The latter figure is made up of Moroccans (7.1); Dutch Antilles and Aruba (9.6); Surinamese (5.8); Turks (3.7); and “other non-westerners” (3.3).

Detained prisoners in prison per 10,000 residents for those of a Dutch background are 1, versus 47 for nonwhites. The latter figure is made up of Moroccans (11.2); Dutch Antilles and Aruba (17.3); Surinamese (17.3); Turks (4.8); and “other non-westerners” (4.4).

What these figures mean is that in proportion to their numbers, nonwhites in the Netherlands are overwhelmingly more criminal than the native Dutch. When it is considered that for every non-Dutch person there are approximately 3.5 Dutch people, then it is clear that nonwhites are almost 160 times more likely to be in prison than whites.

Furthermore, even these statistics may be distorted, because the official definition of a person with a Dutch migration background is a person with “at least one parent was born abroad.”

That means that a nonwhite whose parents were born in the Netherlands is automatically considered to be someone with a Dutch background. This means that nonwhite crime is likely to be even higher than the official figures, as any crimes committed by these second generation nonwhites are counted under the “Dutch” category.
