Now at 5-2; Chargers Have a Tough Slate When They Return After the Bye Week

The Chargers have won four straight after sitting at 1-2 on the season, and now at 5-2 after Sunday’s 20-19 win over the Tennessee Titans, the team suddenly looks like a force in the AFC.

The Bolts are red-hot, and if you are looking to Bet on football, you might want to look ahead at their slate for the next few weeks, as the Rams might not be the only team that is being talked about these days in Los Angeles.

Los Angeles will enjoy a bye week before they get back in action in week nine, and when they do they will be at Seattle on November 4th, in a big game against Russell Wilson and the Seahawks.

Seattle is a team that still at home is very tough to beat, and getting a healthy Melvin Gordon back is going to be key, as the team can control the tempo with a strong run game and that’s a great way to get a huge road win.

After the game in Seattle, the team will travel to Oakland for their second meeting in 2018 with the Oakland Raiders, a team they beat up back on October 7th by a score of 26-10.

While on paper that might look like a game the Bolts should dominate, it’s again a road game and a matchup in the AFC West that the team can’t look past.

The following week the team returns home for another key AFC West game, as they will play host to the Denver Broncos, a team that finally got back in the win column last Thursday by dominating the Cardinals in Glendale.

The Broncos have struggled in a number of areas losing three straight before finally getting a win over the Cardinals, and while it is at , again it is a game that the Chargers cannot overlook as they look to win a key game in their division.

Speaking of the Arizona Cardinals, they are the opponent the next week after the Chargers get done with Denver, coming to Los Angeles for a week 12 matchup on Thanksgiving weekend, November 25th.

The Cardinals are going through a ton of growing pains, as rookie quarterback Sam Rosen has struggled, but they still have a dangerous running back in David Johnson, and they are a team that if you look past, you could find yourself in a dogfight against in the fourth quarter, something the Chargers clearly do not want to have to happen.

December 2nd brings one of the biggest games of the season, as the Chargers will travel to Heinz Field in Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers and coach Mike Tomlin.

Pittsburgh has gotten on track the last two weeks with wins, and there’s no doubt they will bring the fight to the Chargers in what should be a great AFC game.

If the Chargers are going to push the Chiefs for the division lead, or push for a wild card spot in the AFC, they have their work cut out for them starting right after the bye week.
