Can the Cowboys Send a Message to the Rest of the NFL with a Win in New Orleans Tonight?

The Cowboys season has taken a turn thanks to a huge Thanksgiving win at home over the Washington Redskins, but also due to the division they play in, the NFC East, and the injury to Redskins quarterback Alex Smith.

Coming into Thursday’s game, most sports books, such as bet-bonuscode.co.uk has the Saints as a favorite, a big favorite like 7 to 7.5 points to take out the Cowboys and win their 11th game in just 12 tries.

For Dallas, they have plenty of confidence going into this game, as defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence already threw down the hammer this week, stating “We’ve been talked up as being the difference, they’re going to have to match our intensity, (expletive), for 60 minutes straight. If you hit (expletive) in the mouth they ain’t doing what they regularly doing, and putting up 50 points, and they start to get a little distressed. So now you got them where you want them at and then (expletive) choke they (expletive) out.”

It is interesting to think that the Saints might have more pressure coming into this week 13 game, but the Cowboys, who are still looking at trying to be the top dog in the NFC East, have just as much pressure on them heading into Thursday’s battle.

They have to find a way to get pressure on New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees, who is having not only a historic season, but is also getting a lot of help from that offensive line that Lawrence has called out.

They have to make sure to tackle two elusive Saints running backs in both Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram, two players who have been playing well, and making it long days for the first 12 weeks of the season for opposing defenses.

Kamara is on a pace for over 20 scores, and could be the biggest and best touchdown scorer in the game today. He has a nose for the end zone almost like no other player in the league.

If Brees and Kamara get going early against the Cowboys, it could be a long night in New Orleans.

On offense, the Cowboys best formula for a win would be to use a ball control on offense and make sure they get a big game from their offensive line against the Saints.

Ezekiel Elliott and the offensive line got the Cowboys off to a good start against the Redskins last week, scoring on their opening drive, and having that type of success would go a long way to getting a win on the road.

Look for a fun shootout between two teams that have their eyes set on bigger and better. It won’t be easy, but if the Cowboys can get a road win in New Orleans, it would set a huge message to the rest of the NFL.
