A Restless Hostess Without Focus

I’ve halved and then halved again my pain medication– down to once or twice in a 24 hour period. I’m nearly back on a normal sleeping schedule, and I have an “i-walk” peg leg kind of crutch to use once my foot is less touchy about being in the down position. I have more itching and tingling coming from my foot, so I’m taking that as a sign the healing continues.

I haven’t been getting much done otherwise. I have some difficulty concentrating, although that is getting better all the time. I’m restless, being stuck with a heavy leg/foot I have to drag around that won’t work for me the normal way. Impatient even!

I have a longtime LJ friend flying out to see me and I’m grateful I’ll be able to do some things, even if his visit won’t be nearly as interesting now that my possible activities are greatly reduced. But– hopefully we can work some things out. We’ll have to play it by ear, day by day. In any event, the next few days, I’ll be hostessing a visitor to these here parts!

Eventually, I’m sure I’ll be back to my loquacious self– until then, I’m mainly finding easy ways to distract myself. Currently, I find it very difficult to focus and write. Though, again, I can tell that this, too, is shifting more towards normal as time moves forward.
