I had a conversation with a cop the other day who said he practices so much he doesn’t even need to look down his sights while engaging targets on the range.  Says it’s all muscle memory, but is that optimal?  I think we should train to use our sights as much as possible, check out some thoughts on point shooting from Viking Tactics.

Senate passes Internet sales-tax bill
PJ:  Let’s see how this does in the House.  Just another way to fleece more Americans out of their hard earned cash, of course it’s all about being fair according to the politicians.  Think about some of the impacts of this legislation.  Now you can buy a $1500 gun online and have it shipped to your FFL, pay a $10 to $25 fee and it’s all yours.  If this measure becomes law you’ll have to add an additional 7% (or whatever your tax rate is) to the purchase price, so what’s the incentive to buy online?  Might as well go down the road to a local shop.

PJ:  Looks like the politicians in Europe can’t keep the truth about their own economy from spilling out into the open.  Off topic, the sad reality is I bet most high school kids wouldn’t be able to point Spain out on a map (if the countries were not labeled).

PJ:  How long until citizens are compensated for “informing on” their neighbors?  Is it really that far fetched, given what we know about society today?  Some of the examples in this article should scare you, things are moving downhill quite fast…for your safety of course.

PJ:  Lots of precious metals discussion going on, while I don’t doubt that our economy is truly in trouble I’m thinking the powers that be will keep this raft afloat for a few more years if at all possible.  Of course a number of key events could trigger the collapse, events which would be outside of the control of government influence.

PJ:  I like the concept, total freedom to those who have the capability to produce these parts.  Standby for government intervention, it’s only a matter of time.

3 Habits that Should be ‘Automatic for the Prepper’
PJ:  Good article, although I tend to disagree with point # 3: Question everything.  Is one meant to take this literally?  You really want me to question every single thing in life, every single interaction and every single event which occurs every day?  When I brush my teeth in the morning: Hmmm, I wonder where this tooth brush was manufactured, in a sweat shop in Asia perhaps?  I wonder if these bristles are biodegradable?  The package said it was medium, but the bristles feel harder, who did the testing and what was involved?  This toothpaste…what do all of these ingredients mean?  I’ll have to google each one and who says this stuff really does whiten my teeth.  Is there proof and where can I access that data?  This water…I’m skeptical that the company which provides it truly tests for all harmful contaminants, I’d better call them to make sure.  And ON, and ON it could go throughout the entire day.  Question everything?  I see it on t-shirts, but…really?  I think not.
