Forgive Yourself Father For You Have Sinned

”And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.”

Let the Pope wrangle with that one! Father Everett was my mentor. His job in the church was education. He taught me Catholic Theology, but his long suit was teaching children to read, write, and worship the Lord. He used pictures of ”his kids” as book markers, and he never touched one of them. He never touched a woman either. He was a priest!

The Catholic Church has fallen away. Father Ev taught me the four things a church must exhibit to be ”true.” A church simply cannot go directly against the foundation laid down by Jesus Christ and continue to present itself as holy. With over one thousand cases of child molestation in Pennsylvania alone the Catholic Church rivals Islam in depraved behavior toward children.

You would think ”His Holiness” would go off on this like Truman on Japan. It took him two days before he even mentioned it. With a thousand plus incidents in one state you know the laity must have known about this. The priests and bishops have their little cluster, but as a former member of the Legion of Mary, I can tell you, those people TALK! Oh, Mary never molested her kids either, just so you know.

This is not some intellectual discussion on the meaning of the Eucharist. This concerns deviant criminal behavior. And to think of all the times I went to confession because I’d had an impure thought after glancing at some girl’s jeans as she knelt in prayer.

In the real world if some guy touched a child through their CLOTHES he’d be convicted of a felony, serve time, and be branded for the rest of his life! In the Catholic Church he just gets moved to another parish.

If this happened in one state you can bet your boots it happened everywhere else. Each time a priest was transferred he took his sins with him. That AND his millstone firmly fastened to his neck. These guys don’t
stop. They perfect technique. With psychological ploy and the authority of the church behind them they offend again, and again, and again.

If Pope Francis doesn’t address this immediately then he is an Anti-Pope. There is no way he can excuse this and continue to sit on the chair of Saint Peter. The president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is holier than THAT! The course is clear, the sea is deep, and the millstone is heavy.
