The WIRE: Your week in review

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

From Bill and Hillary’s shrugs to burgers made of bugs — and most points in between — it’s time for a look back at the week that was. Personal Liberty Digest® presents: The WIRE!

The investigation by Special Counsel Robert Mueller has spanned two years, cost $40 million (and counting) and we have learned that President Donald Trump may have been involved in paying off women with whom he had inappropriate relations. Unseemly? Absolutely. Impeachment-worthy?

Not in my experience.

In a related story, it looks increasingly likely that former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe may have helped arrange the entrapment of former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn by advising Flynn against having counsel present for an interview with FBI agents.

You’d think Hillary Clinton could have spared one. They let her have nine for her interview.

And how is Mueller’s hunt going? Documents have been destroyed or altered. The timeline of the case against Flynn doesn’t match the Justice Department narrative. Former FBI Director James Comey has developed the world’s most convenient case of amnesia. And it turns out the phones of disgraced FBI lovebirds — and Mueller minions — Lisa Page and Peter Strzok were mysteriously wiped before the Inspector General could examine them. When they say Mueller is close to the real villain, they weren’t kidding.

The call is coming from INSIDE THE HOUSE!

Welp, the Oval Office summit between Trump, Pelosi and Schumer went about as well as expected. Trump nuking Pelosi and Schumer in the Oval Office should come as no surprise to anyone who’s ever seen his Twitter feed.

I’m only surprised he didn’t chase them out of the building with a bat.

Pelosi: This is like getting peed on by a skunk.
Pence: I should have stayed in Indiana.
Trump: What is it with you libs and getting peed on?

Schumer: Don’t look directly at her. You’ll turn to stone.

So, they’re going to shut down the federal government over funding for the border wall. It’s telling that the Democrats are particularly butt hurt over the possibility. If you think a government shutdown would be a bad thing, you have never met the government.

Keeping gov’t from “working” is like keeping a wild animal from gnawing on your wallet — or your kid.

A dozen members of the MS-13 narcoterrorism organization have been busted in New York on charges including murder plots, drug- and gun-running and home invasion. So weird, since the Democrat/media complex claims they hardly exist, and discussing their presence in the U.S. is “dog whistle” racism.

They’re the real victims here.

Chérif Chekatt, who killed three people at a Christmas market in Strasbourg, France, shouted “Allahu Akbar” during the attack. As usual, French authorities and the media couldn’t be sure of his motivation.

Mon Dieu! Maybe he was a Hugenot.

Kevin Hart can’t host the Oscars because of jokes he made nine years ago. Kyler Murray can’t enjoy winning the Heisman because of jokes he made seven years ago. But MSNBC morning blowhole Mika Scarborough can go on fogging up the screen after calling Secretary of State Mike Pompeo a “wannabe dictator’s butt-boy.”

Good thing it was on MSNBC. Might have been trouble if she’d said it on a channel people actually watch.

After running off Hart, the Academy Awards are struggling to find a replacement host for the approaching ceremony. If Hart couldn’t cut it, good luck finding someone “woke” enough for the tolerance mob.

Organizers should start combing the migrant caravan for a transgendered, vegan Muslim.

A judge has ordered Stormy Daniels to pay the president nearly $300,000 in legal fees after her failed defamation lawsuit against him. I’m going out on a limb and predict her suit against Michael Avenatti will be for somewhere in the $300,000 neighborhood.

Payable in all $1 bills, of course.

Former President Barack Obama is still shilling for Obamacare. He even made a video this week, pimping his insurance boondoggle to the kiddies, promising “I’m giving it to you straight,” before launching into his sales pitch.

You can’t keep your doctor or your plan. You’ll never get that $2,500. I don’t think “straight” means what he thinks it means.

The Supreme Court gave Planned Parenthood a big boost this week when it refused to hear cases from both Kansas and Louisiana regarding the states’ rights to bar Medicaid funding from Planned Parenthood’s abortion mills.

The baby parts factories will survive. The babies they “treat” won’t.

The U.S. Senate voted Thursday to pass a nonbinding resolution blaming Saudi crown prince Mohammad bin Salman for the death of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. A foreign activist killed by a foreign government in a foreign country.

I voted to continue not caring.

Just because Tablet Magazine has exposed the (not all) Women’s March as having been co-opted by vicious anti-Semites and other friends of Islamofascism doesn’t mean American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten is afraid of photo ops with March führers Linda Sarsour and Tamika Mallory. The second largest teacher’s union in the country can be seen here, endorsing violent anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial.

Our children’s futures are in excellent hands.

According to CNN, beef consumption must fall drastically to avert a climate catastrophe. Among their suggested replacements, an insect burger from an outfit called “Bug Foundation.” So, my choices are global conflagration or bug patties? Then I’ll have my apocalypse burger rare, please.

I don’t even want to know what the “bacon” is made of.

And that’s your week in review! For the Personal Liberty Digest®, I’m Ben Crystal saying, “See you next week, on The WIRE!”
