By day, Universal Studios is filled with a variety of activities that the whole family can enjoy. At night, all of that changes as it’s turned into a scary, creepy, sinister attraction that only the brave can handle. Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights has been bringing thrills and chills to the Orlando area for 28 years now. This year it has an ‘80s theme and sorts of things to scare you. This is what you can expect if you dare to visit Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando.

Information About The Haunted Houses
Guests will get to go through a variety of different haunted houses that are each scarier than the next. All of the houses are set up indoors, and they are fairly similar to mazes. What this means is that visitors will feel as if they are traveling through a neverending scarefest that they can’t find their way out of. Each house has sound effects, small passages, mirror effects, strobe lights, loud music and of course, a lot of gruesome creatures. Guests are continuously sent through the maze one at a time on a rather than going through as a small group. This allows for a more constant flow and less of a wait time. In general, it takes about 3-4 minutes to get through each house.

Stranger Things And Even More Scares
This year Halloween Horror Nights debuted the Stranger Things haunted house. Guests will get to go through each of the show’s eight episodes, starting with the abduction of Will Byers and then ending with a battle at Hawkins Middle School. A lot of work has been put into each of the different parts of the haunted house to make it look eerily similar to the popular Netflix television show. Here are the other haunted houses you can experience:

Scare Zones
In addition to the haunted houses there are also scare zones that are filled with gore and guts. They are similar to haunted houses, but are located outdoors in some of the open areas. They don’t tend to be as elaborate as the haunted houses, but can still give you a good scare. There are five scare zones this year and they include The Harvest, Vamp ‘85: New Year’s Eve, Revenge of Chucky and Killer Klowns from Outer Space.

Once you’ve finished getting scared and are ready for another type of fun, you can experience a live show or go on one of the park’s rides. Ticket prices for Halloween Horror nights vary based on the night you choose to attend. They range from $62.99 to $87.99 each.
