Saudi Arabia Betrays and Abandons Its Takfiri Salafists and Wahabbists

What will be the consequences now that Saudi Royal family has abandoned and betrayed its Syrian-deployed Takfiri fighters it had spent a generation cultivating through its establishment of radical madrassas of the variety it used to train 16 Saudis of the 19  9/11 WTC  attackers?   What also remains to be seen is how it will handle those fighters upon their return to Saudi Arabia and the extent to which it will utilize repression to “reintegrate” these radicalized fighters into accepting the Saudi’s corrupt rule.

While the US tries to paint Assad as an illegitimate ruler, he has kept the morale of his armed forces high and gained the support of the people of the nation who now seek to re-elect him.  His military has maintained incredible cohesiveness and has been able to effectively plan and execute joint command operations and fight along side highly effective, disciplined and motivated Hezbollah fighters who have shown themselves to be a professional fighting force.

In fact, the Syrian military in conjunction with Hezbollah fighters has been able to achieve what the U.S, military was unable to do in a decade-long war on terror, namely force the admitted defeat of al Qaeda fighters who have now taken to surrendering, deserting, fighting and killing others among the various al Qaeda contingents and allied groupings

While the U.S. portrayed this motley group as a united and legitimate opposition, it carried out gas attacks killing hundreds of its own supporters in false flag chemical attacks operations designed with the hopes of dragging the U.S. into the conflict. 

The failure of the U.S. government has been total and complete in its Syrian policy.  It had attempted to stoke American opinion to justify U.S. intervention due to the deployment of WMDs.  Even before the charade blew up in the government’s face and the false flag operation was proven to be a Turkish and Saudi false flag operation, and while an ignorant American public believed its government’s lies about Assad “using chemical weapons against its own people”, the U.S. could not generate the American people’s support for more intervention.

And as it remains to be seen how much this will stick to Obama even as American officials manning the U.S. consulate in Libya were killed due to it running a CIA arms operation in support of Syrian opposition, it also remains to be seen how this will affect those terror groups the Saudis have spent the last two decades radicalizing, indoctrinating, training and supporting. 

The U.S. has lost credibility and more and more allies are seeking to  marginalize U.S. leadership.  The U.S. has also provided the world and the American people with a perfect snapshot of U.S. hypocrisy, lies, hubris and incompetence.   Now U.S. enemies will spend more time coordinating against the U.S. after seeing how effective a Syrian-Hezbollah axis has been.  This is the U.S.’s greatest fear.  The U.S. will also have to fear the fact that it helped al Qaeda balloon to the strength level of an army division.  The consequences of this fact remain to be felt in the future for both Saudi Arabia and the U.S..

The Saudis also fear if they have enough credibility in the future to be able to generate support for other interventions after abandoning and betraying an unofficial arm of their foreign policy?  And, will the Saudi royal family now have to worry about those fighters coming back to Saudi Arabia and turning on the government after having betrayed them in Syria? 

Time has provided those with a keen eye an opportunity to see who far politicians can manipulate people into believing government lies and the consequences of having those lies exposed.  Considering nobody bemoaned the genocide and ethnic cleansing of Native Americans, and the lies it took to achieve that goal, I doubt people will much care about second-order effects of a malevolent Syrian foreign policy.  However, I don’t think the U.S. will be able to exterminate Syrians in the manner it exterminated Native Americans.  Time will provide and answer to dramatic questions.  Somebody please pass me the popcorn while I watch this dramatic comedy play out.
