This is like standing on your side of the fence but still looking in your neighbor’s windows with a high-power telescope. They would consider it an invasion of privacy and might act on it, legal or not. How many toy drones have been shot down because a neighbor flew it over someone’s house in the US? A judge even said it was okay when the shooter was arrested for that and dropped the charges.

I don’t think this will end in war (In my opinion.) Since the U.S. is already stretched thin as it is. Trump has made efforts in the process of re arming and increasing our military size, but a war with Iran would be way too messy and would hurt Trump’s re-election since most of the country is against war. Plus the U.S. will have trouble boosting numbers of recruits since they can’t really issue an effective draft anymore either. In this day and age with all the liberals you’ll never find that many people willing to fight and die for a war they didn’t want. And what are they going to do? Throw us all in jail?

Why not cure this issue once and for all…..dig a Canal through the land jetti just south of Iran for shipping to pass through safely out of reach of Iran? Seems simple enough to do…..the Strait of Hormuz is only 21 miles wide and national waters extend 12 miles from coast, so doing the math we have a 3 to 4 mile zone of dispute. So re route the shipping about 5 miles south….end of problems. Or is that just too damn simple?
