Upper ascent ahead of a large trough diving into the Eastern United States will bring moisture northward into Florida later this morning into the afternoon. Strong to severe thunderstorms will form with the strengthening instability and with that there will be a threat of larger hail and damaging winds …

Given the proximity of the surface convergence zone along the coast, I cannot rule out Cape Canaveral waterspouts and/or landfalling as small tornadoes across that zone …

If heading out to Orlando Theme Parks, expect storms to move through the area today …
