Cops 'Help' Struggling Suicidal Vet By Killing Him (Video)
(N.Morgan) A suicidal veteran was killed by police in Germantown TN. I cannot stress enough that calling the police in these situations never ends well. I don’t think the police we have today are being trained in how to handle these sorts of issues and frankly, we haven’t had this many combat veterans since Vietnam. Here’s what happened: Three Germantown police officers shot and killed a war veteran suffering from PTSD, who recently lost his father and was going through a divorce. He also was the father to a 2-year-old daughter; relatives say he adored her. Germantown police say when they arrived at Cameron Brown Park, Justin Davis was sitting in his Black Charger smoking a cigarette and drinking a beer.
The 24-year-old had a rifle that he was moving around. The Germantown crisis intervention team tried to talk him out of the car for a peaceful resolution. Investigators say Davis made statements he was suicidal, and he would shoot at officers. When Davis pointed his rifle out the passenger window, three officers fired on him.
He died at the scene from several gunshot wounds. The whole encounter was 15 minutes. Germantown police were called to the scene after getting reports that Davis was suicidal and suffered from PTSD.

American law enforcement is not trained to deal with a suicidal person. American law enforcement is only trained on how to bring a high-level risk situation to a swift and decisive end. The American public forgets that our law enforcement are not medical practitioners, mental counselors, clergy or social workers. Their job is not to provide therapy, but to remove the threat by suppressing with whatever means necessary.
So when the public calls the police in reference a family dispute, they better be ready to rip the whirlwind if things go from bad to worst. And let’s face it. Police presence always elevates the risk factor.
This is not the movies, where every cop is empathetic towards needs of a person with mental illness.

Okay do you seriously wonder why he was killed?! He made threats to shoot the officers! And pointed his damn rife out the window! How could they not shoot him? You guys are just stupid. I thought this story was about some guy that was going to jump to his death! This man had a gun, and made threats and pointed his gun! You need to get some commonsense! He deserved it! He deserved it. That is what he gets for joining the military to help the elite protect drugs and kill innocent people with a fabricated war induced to put money back into the pockets of the elite.

I agree with you that he was in a bad place and it’s very tragic. Not sure what he saw over there in the Middle East, but whatever it was must have really got to him. I feel bad for this guy, but with that said, ugh, if you point a rifle at cops…well…we saw what happened.
