Say Goodbye To The $1 Bill And Hello To The $1 Dollar Coin
Associated Press is reporting that Congress wants to replace the dollar bill with a $1 dollar coin.Congressional auditors say doing away with dollar bills entirely and replacing them with dollar coins could save taxpayers some $4.4 billion over the next 30 years.
2.4 billion Presidential $1 coins were minted in the last 5 years that are being stored at the federal reserve.People don’t really like carting the coins around though, because a dollar bill seems much simpler to put in a wallet and is also much lighter.Think about it ,how much does 15 $1dollar bills in your pocket or wallet weigh? Not much at all.How about 15 $1 dollar coins.I can see that it being bothersome to people.
Dollar bills have to replaced about every 4 to 5 years, but the $1 dollar coin would survive up to 30 years .There is also mention of using cheaper costing metals .The Mint is preparing a report for Congress showing how changes in the metal content of coins could save money.
Did you know it costs 2 cents to make a penny and 11 cents to make a nickel.Are you thinking what I’m thinking?Now might be a good time to start hoarding .With possible Hyperinflation coming just around the corner don’t be surprised when they announce changes for either or both the penny and the nickel to be made with a less expensive combination of metals like steel, aluminum and zinc .
I just wanted our readers to know that there was a hoax going around recently and it’s still going. I just saw two more websites post it.The title is : Bid Farewell to Pennies and Nickels! Not yet, but I’m sure it’s in the works and could happen in the near future .I think the hoax originated here and it went viral.I also noticed that wealth wire pulled down from their website.

About time! The UK started minting a £1 coin since 1983 to replace the old £1 note.
Honestly, how long will it be before they simply go paperless and make this discussion pointless. I can’t believe that they have not already done so. It costs the government nothing to print, never needs to be replaced, and is easier to transact. Illegal (untaxable) transactions will be much more difficult to carry out as will be payments for illegal activities.
The only good reason that I can come with is the physical money is used around the World, in areas that do not have the technology in place to go paperless. Also, going paperless would make those who have been making prophetic statements about the Anti-Christ, New World Order, One World Government, the end of the World, etc., appear to be correct and their claims valid.
Governments pay their bills with inflation, the dollar coin recognizes that the dollar is becoming near worthless along with all currencies of a similar age. As soon as a goverment issues paper money that they can print at will the process starts, the end is collapse and a “new” currency.
there’s already a dollar coin out in circulation. I use them all the time. I rarely have or use a dollar bill.
