"Mind Your Own Business"

Do you want the truth? Or something beautiful?

As many companies
approach the end of the fiscal year, employees are impatiently waiting to
receive the results of their yearly review. 
Concerns of what their managers will say, their overall score, and
whether or not it will impact their dividends, they’re stressed to the max.  Before entering into their manager’s office,
they’ve prepared rebuttals and decided not to sign the review if it isn’t up to
their standards…  And if he or she
crosses the line, they’re going to put them in their rightful place…  So we have a question for you…  What does debating someone’s view of you
accomplish?  Does it change their
minds?  Sure it may cause them to change
what they’ve written, but it doesn’t change what they think…

Many of you have a “yearly review” daily….   You’re constantly stressed about what others
think of you…  You’re ready to debate
their views, put them in their place, and convinced them they are wrong…  “I’ll be damn if I let them say that about me”
is what you think….  Therefore you become
consumed with proving who you truly are…. 
But does this change anything? 
Are their minds changed after you’ve wasted all your energy?  Have you convinced them?  Have you proven to them you are not who they
think you are?  Or have you proven you
are who they think you are?  And most
importantly, WHY ARE YOU CONCERNED WITH WHAT THEY THINK ABOUT YOU???

The truth is… Trying to prove to someone who you are only
proves WHO YOU ARE NOT….  You say you’re
strong, but arguing proves you’re weak… 
You say you’re secure, but arguing proves you’re insecure.  You say you don’t care what people think of
you, but arguing proves you do…  What
someone else thinks of you is none of your business… Trying to change others
thoughts and opinions uses energy in which could be used to make you a better
you… 

For the strong willed people reading this post and thinking,
“Truth Bowl, you’re wrong on this one… I’m just not going to let people say
anything they want to me and get away with it…” only proves how right we are….  We’re not even in the room with you, and you’ve
proven we’re right.  You’re sitting there
going off with no one to hear you…  We’re
not trying to ATTACK you, but IMPACT you… 
Be, Do, and Love YOU, don’t sweat what no one else thinks about you, IT
DOESN’T MATTER…. #MindYourOwnBusiness
