Working Behind The Scenes

So you applied for a job and didn’t get it…. Put an offer on
a home and didn’t get it… Went to purchase a car and didn’t get it…  It seems you’re being told “No” time after time
and you just don’t get it…  “Delight
yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret
petitions of your heart” Psalms 37:4 stands out in your mind because you’ve
done just that…  You’ve reverenced God,
praised Him for His omnipotent power, paid your tithes and shared His goodness
with all you come in contact with, yet you didn’t get it…  

Looking around at your family and friends, you see them
moving up the corporate ladder, driving nice cars, living in beautiful homes
and getting all the things you so greatly want. 
In your heart you strongly desire to be happy for them, but in your mind
lurks the question “God, why not me?” 
You’re now in a place of disappointment and becoming somewhat
discouraged. Wondering if you should continue to apply for jobs, bid on homes,
test drive cars and the enemy whispers in your ear “All that praising you’ve
been doing is getting you nothing. 
Everyone else is getting what they want and they’re not evening living
right, doing half the work you’re doing nor managing what they already have.”  It seems bad enough you have to watch your
loved ones get what they want, but it feels like a slap in the face when those
who set out to harm you are moving up…

When quoting Psalms 37:4 we sometimes overlook just because
you “desire” it doesn’t mean it’s a part of the plan for your life…  It’s true God will give you the desires of
your heart, but not  if it goes against
the will for your life…  Many times we
view the “no” of man negatively, but because you’re chosen, called, and
destined for greater, you should see the “Yes” in it…  What may seem to be a promotion could be a
problem… What appears to be your dream home could be a nightmare…  And just because it shines, doesn’t mean its
gold…

The truth is… Sometimes mans “no” is God’s “Yes”… 

Man says “You’re not qualified”, but God says “This is not
the job I have for you, be patient.  I’m working
behind the scenes… You want team lead, but I have Manager planned for you.”

Man says “Your credit score is too low”, God says “This is
not the home I have for you, be
patient.  I’m working behind the scenes…  You’re bidding on a 3 bedroom home; I have a
4 bedroom waiting for you.”

Man says “You only have six weeks to live”, God says “Man is
not Me, be patient.  I’m working behind
the scenes…  To man your health is
failing, but I’m restoring not only your health, but your faith and all those
who will see faith in Me”

You may have been told “no”, but if God say’s “yes”, it’s
final…  Just because you can’t see His
hand, doesn’t mean it’s not there….  He’s
working behind the scenes….  #GodAtWork
