You Betta Recognize...

Do you know what
you’re worth or are you waiting for someone to tell you? A lot of times we find
ourselves sitting around waiting for someone to tell us we are pretty, handsome,
that we smart or that we are good at what we do. But if what if know ever tells
us that, then what? Does the world stop and you stop believing in yourself?

You’ve just
completed a new project at work and are waiting for a pat on the back from you
boss, perhaps just a job well done from your supervisor. If no one gives you thumbs
up, do you stop working hard? Do you stop striving for excellence, where your
career is concerned?

Ladies you have
on a new dress your hair is done to perfection, yet no one has stopped to tell
you how nice you look.  Men you have a new
suit but haven’t gotten a second glance from anyone today. Now if no one steps
up and tells you how great you look are you going to stop dressing nice? Are
you going to stop putting you best foot forward when it comes to your appearance?

Maybe you want
to apply for a job, but every job you look at prefers someone with college
degree and all you have is high school diploma. However you have enough job
experience that would put someone with a degree to shame. Do you not apply for
the job because you don’t feel you are worthy because you never been to
college?

The Truth Is…  You need to recognize your worth. Know your
own worth without anyone telling you. Knowing your worth comes with having self
confidence in yourself. When you have self confidence you don’t need the words
of anyone else to validate you. You don’t need anyone to tell you you’re
beautiful. You already know you are because you walk around with your head held
high and don’t have to fish for compliments.

So what you
don’t have a college degree. That doesn’t mean you’re not smart. Do you have
any idea how many business moguls and billionaires out there without a college
degree? Ted Turner, Bill Gates Steve Jobs and the list goes on and on. These
are people that had enough confidence and believed in themselves to go after
their dreams. I’m not encouraging anyone not to get an education I am saying
don’t limit yourself because you don’t have a degree. Maybe going to college or
finishing collage just wasn’t for you. Compensate for the lack there of by
working harder for you not anyone else. They don’t say experience is the best
teacher for nothing.

The bottom line
is no one needs to tell you what you already know about yourself. You know you
are smart. You know you are beautiful. You know you can do anything you put
your mind to. You just have to be confident and know your worth. You can’t wait
for someone to tell you, because that day may never come. “It is difficult to
